I’m so excited to leave for Puerto Banús, Spain, in the morning! As I’ve said many times, I’m not the best packer, but this time I think I’ve nailed it. I did a little shopping yesterday at a local boutique and found a few things to complete my outfits…all at 70% off, with one exception! Another thing I’m not so good at is shopping the sales, so this was a definite win for me.

I’ll leave early tomorrow and arrive in Puerto Banús on the 18th. My itinerary is already full, thanks to Julie, who is there now! She said, “Love, we’re going to the Sinatra Bar when you get here,” and so…that’s exactly what we’re going to do! I know it’s best to keep plowing through and not sleep because a nap would only make the jet lag worse. I suppose I’ll sleep when I’m dead – or at least when I get home!

But…on to the packing. Obviously, I’m taking a few other things besides what I’m showing here, but these outfits are the stars. I didn’t want to look like a tourist, so the idea was European chic, but still practical enough for walking around.

I kept my travel look simple…black pants with an elastic waist and matching cardigan, a white tank, leopard sneakers (similar) and a crossbody bag. I’ll also have my carry on suitcase and I’ll put this little bag inside a bigger tote bag with my laptop and book. I’m planning to try to read The Calamity Club while I’m gone…we’ll see, but at least I can read on the plane.

I’m so in love with this look! I wasn’t sure about it until I tried it on, but it’s so cute…and very comfortable. The shorts are a great length, not too long or too short, and the shirt has a long slit on each side, which makes a half-tuck look so much neater. Rolling the sleeves added a little more style, and I finished the look with a simple pair of Gucci sandals and my raffia bag. I’ll look cute and stylish while still being comfortable!

This top would also be great with jeans. I could add a white tank underneath and wear the shirt open for a completely different look.

I was so fortunate to find this Hunter Bell skirt (similar) on sale in my size! I think the skirt combined with a simple tank is perfect for a day of shopping and lunch. The rope sandals (on sale) are from Flowzy—they’re incredibly comfortable and go perfectly with the skirt. The off-white bag will work with several of my other outfits, and I can tuck smaller bags inside it when I’m packing.

I absolutely love the colors in this dress from Mirth and it’s so flattering! Mirth fabrics are hand screen printed in India and the designs are beautiful and wearable. I added the same rope sandals and a tiny yellow bag (similar). We’ll probably be walking most everywhere and I want to be comfortable! All I’ll need is my phone, lip gloss and a wallet!

I’ve had these pants from Sezane for a little while but just got them back from being hemmed. I paired them with older Gucci platform sandals, and an older top from Veronica Beard (similar and really cute). The bag is from Clare V. I’m sure I’ll save this look for dinner since the shoes aren’t the most practical for walking around.

I could not resist this dress from Doen! It’s the yummiest chocolate brown color and it fits like it was made for me. It’ll be perfect for dinner in Spain, but also for any event when I get home and it will carry me through the holidays. The dress is so beautiful and doesn’t need too much in the way of accessories so I added a gold kitten heel from Tory Burch and a tiny calf hair bag.

That’s all for now! I still have a few things to do—and I have to get all of these clothes into my suitcase! Today is the day I get my nails and lashes done, and I’m sitting here feeling really sticky from the self-tanner, so a shower is definitely in order.

I hope you’ve gotten a few packing ideas from this post. I can’t wait to get there and take some fun pictures of my time in Spain wearing all of these looks! I’m curious…would you get on a plane by yourself and fly across the world? I traveled alone to Germany twice while my daughter was living there. I was nervous, but everything went just fine. I’ve hired a driver to pick me up at the airport, and that makes me feel much better about getting to Puerto Banús when I arrive.
