Ann Taylor…Reconsidered

01

Call me crazy, but yesterday…not even 24 hours before I was scheduled to board the first leg of my flight to Spain – I had a photo shoot. I’m so glad I did because the pieces I’m wearing here from Ann Taylor are just so good. There is more that I can’t wait to share, but that will have to wait until next week because, obviously, I’m not in town.

Years ago, I bought almost everything I wore from Ann Taylor and loved it all. For some reason, I stopped shopping there as much, but I recently took another look was so impressed that I placed a big order. Everything is so cute, and the pieces are versatile and reasonably priced.

This chocolate-brown vest is the cutest and could easily be worn in a business setting or paired with jeans for a girls’ night out. The braided trim, oversized pockets and tie at the waist give it so much personality, and I love the contrast of the rich brown with the faded denim. It makes a pair of jeans feel much more interesting.

I wore the best on its own here while the weather is still warm, but later I’ll layer it over a fitted blouse or a turtleneck. That’s part of what I love about Ann Taylor…the versatility. These are pieces that can be mixed and matched endlessly and you can make them completely your own.

I’m including a boutique below with everything from this post as well as a few other things from Ann Taylor that I’m loving right now!

And can we talk about the green suede booties? Mine are Jimmy Choo…a gift from Baldy right before Christmas last year and I absolutely love them. The pistachio color is perfect with the chocolate brown and adds so much to this look. They’re still available in a few sizes, but I also found this fabulous pair from Schutz for less than half the price. They have that same rich green suede and sleek shape that caught my eye in the first place, and I think they’re such a good find. If you love the look but don’t want to make the investment in the Jimmy Choo pair, I would definitely take a look at these.

So, if you haven’t taken a look at Ann Taylor lately, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I certainly was. There are so many good pieces right now that feel polished but still current, and quite a few things I’d wear into fall and beyond. Take a look at the website and let me know what catches your eye—I’m curious to know if you’re as surprised as I was.

I’m sitting at the airport in Boston getting ready to board my flight for Madrid…can’t wait to get there and share it all!

Thanks so much for reading today!

~XOXO Suzanne
