Life has a way of changing your plans. We came home from the beach last night to a house that now needs repairs after a tree fell while we were away. This week is filled with insurance appointments, contractor estimates, unpacking, grocery shopping, catching up on work, bringing some beauty and order back to my beloved courtyard, and trying to find a comfortable rhythm again.
I don’t have new outfit photos to share because my photographer isn’t coming until later this week, but that doesn’t stop me from being excited about the season’s early fall arrivals. There’s something about this moment between summer and autumn that I always love. I find myself thinking about settling back into the routines I enjoy and how I want to savor the remainder of the season while quietly looking ahead to fall. The colors deepen, the textures become richer, and these are the pieces catching my eye right now as I begin imagining the months ahead. I think that’s what draws me to this season year after year—the invitation to slow down, pay attention, and find beauty in the transition itself…even when life feels a little chaotic.
The Fall 2026 runways leaned away from in-your-face trends and toward thoughtful, investment-worthy dressing, and I love that so many of those ideas are reflected in this edit.
Rich shades of chocolate, olive, camel, cream, and deep burgundy define the season, while suede remains one of the most important textures, appearing everywhere from loafers to handbags and jackets. Slim, beautifully tailored silhouettes are replacing oversized shapes, structured handbags are making a strong statement, and sculptural gold jewelry continues to add personality to even the simplest outfits. Leopard print shows no signs of slowing down (thank goodness), proving once again that it is a modern neutral. More than anything, Fall 2026 feels refined, wearable, and beautifully collected.
Please bear with me this week and thanks for your patience as I get caught up on life, unpack, tackle a few unexpected projects, and get back into my normal routine! I’m looking forward to sharing beautiful late summer tables, new outfits and a few recipes I’m dying to cook as well as progress on the renovation!

I’m always amazed at how you can juggle so much. I hope your home doesn’t have too much damage. I’m still tackling a list of small projects around my house before fall sets in. At times it seems overwhelming so I understand all that’s on your plate right now.
