Welcome to the Summer Weekend Edit! Today I’m featuring a chic summer tweed outfit, favorite fashion finds, books I’m reading, what I’m watching, summer sales and lifestyle inspiration!

When this set from Benaar LA arrived on my doorstep about a week ago, I immediately knew I wanted to photograph it in the courtyard because, obviously, it was a perfect match for our vintage blue dining table. Sometimes the setting finds the outfit!
This set has such a classic 1960s feel, but with a fresh, modern twist. The skirt and top look as though they’re woven from ribbons rather than traditional tweed, giving the fabric incredible texture and dimension. The soft fringe framing the button front of both pieces adds even more charm.
It’s one of those outfits that feels conservative…but not. The silhouette is polished, yet the skirt has just enough stretch to make it comfortable and easy to wear, which keeps it from feeling like a traditional suit. I love pieces that look tailored but don’t feel restrictive.
To make the look a little more playful, I paired it with my pink sequin Madison Maison kitten heels that I found on a recent trip to Los Angeles. I can’t link the exact pair, but I found a very similar option. After all, why not wear a statement shoe because life’s too short to be boring.
A blue-and-white ginger jar filled with gorgeous flowers, my pink Amazon sunglasses, and an older silver clutch (similar here) added just the right finishing touches and turned the whole setting into a little summer story.

Since it’s officially the weekend, I thought I’d also share a few things I’ve been enjoying lately…from a few interesting articles to some favorite gifted items that I’ve been loving and also a few things I’ve purchased myself. Consider this my little weekend roundup…
What I’m Watching
Recently, my daughter and I went to see the new The Devil Wears Prada movie, and one of the previews was for the upcoming release of Practical Magic starring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock. I can’t wait to see it when it comes out in September!
I was so excited that I immediately ordered the book series, hoping I can read it before the movie is released. I also plan to watch the original Practical Magic again to jog my memory. It’s been years since I’ve seen it, and I remember loving it.
If you’re as excited as I am, this article shares everything we know so far about the new movie!
Season 5 of The Bear started on June 25 and I will be catching up tonight! Baldy and I loved this series that kept us on the edge of the couch and this should prove to be equally as intense!
What I’m Reading
While I’m hoping to read the Practical Magic series before the new movie comes out, I’ve actually just started The Story of Marceau Miller by Marceau Miller. It’s a psychological thriller set in Lake Geneva, and it’ll be tucked into my bag when I leave for the beach in a couple of weeks.
I’m also pouring over my new cookbook/coffee table book…Swing By, Entertaining, Recipes and The New Art of Gathering by Stephanie Nass. It’s a gorgeous book with so many fabulous recipes that I can’t wait to try! It’s really put me in the mood to throw a party!
What I’m Wearing
I just received these amazing shorts from Rag and Bone. These walking shorts are made from an ultra-soft cotton terry cloth with a trompe l’oeil denim print. A 4″ inseam, pull-on elastic waistband and hidden side-seam pockets enhance the mid-rise style’s denim look, along with printed pockets. I promise you will live in these shorts…they’re so very comfortable and cute at the same time!
This adorable bag from Tory Burch is one I’ll be wearing as often as possible! It’s a mini bucket bag made of woven jacquard that mimics the look of raffia with a red Tory logo…very chic and looks great with the shorts and a white tee! I’m also anxiously awaiting the arrival of these platform slides that I purchased from the Tory Burch Simi Annual Sale!
I’m loving the ease of this ecru sweater tank from Veronica Beard. It’s perfect for summer and goes with everything!
If you have a special occasion to attend (other than a wedding), this dress is so dreamy! I’m hoping to be invited to something so that I have an excuse to purchase. This is a fun dress to wear for July 4th.

Products I’m Loving
I recently received a new vitamin C serum from Mara that I’m loving. I’ve only been using it for a few days but I’ll keep you posted. A stable, hydrating 15% vitamin C serum oil powered by algae, superfoods, and adaptogens to visibly brighten, even tone, and smooth texture while targeting dark spots, redness, and hyperpigmentation. I’ve been applying under my makeup in the morning.
Back in May while I was in New York, I purchased new makeup from Trish McEvoy. Years ago, I only wore Trish McEvoy and decided to revisit. I am so pleased with my purchases and have a few favorites including the Gorgeous Foundation, the Precision Brow Shaper, and the Beauty Booster Hyaluronic Face Serum that I use twice daily.
I just reordered this Redkin shampoo that’s perfect for my dry summer hair!

Those pink shoes are a fun pop of color! What inspired the pastel theme for the whole weekend?
Well…it was just coincidence actually! The table matched the suit and the flower vase looked great with all of it!
