I already loved our outdoor spaces, but I knew they could look even better with just a few thoughtful updates. So, instead of starting over, I simply layered in a handful of new pieces alongside favorites I already owned. Fresh outdoor pillows, beautiful tableware, a few entertaining essentials, and seasonal touches made everything feel lighter, brighter, and ready for summer. It reminded me that you don’t need a complete makeover to create a space that feels fresh…you just need a few well-chosen additions.
Our bar cart (similar) has actually been with us since last summer, and it’s still one of my favorite pieces because every time I roll it out and stock it with wine glasses, sparkling water, rosé, and a few easy bites, I immediately want to invite friends over. It becomes the heart of the porch and makes entertaining feel effortless. I’ve rounded up the pieces that helped inspire this year’s refresh—from outdoor furniture, pillows, dinnerware, placemats, candles, wine chillers, ginger jars, and so much more. If you’ve been thinking about giving your porch or patio a little summer update, now is a wonderful time. Many of these seasonal pieces don’t stay in stock for long, so if something catches your eye, I’d shop sooner rather than later. Keep scrolling for a few summer porch ideas that will easily upgrade your outdoor space!

I love nothing more in the summer than to set a pretty table and eat outdoors as often as possible. It really doesn’t take much more effort and it’s definitely worth it!
These blue and white dishes were my mothers but I’ve linked some similar ones. They are a perfect accent on top of a solid white dinner plate and look so pretty on the rattan placemats.

The porch spans the width of the house and it’s been a challenge filling up the space. The only think I don’t have that I’ve always wanted is a porch swing.

I filled an older container with ice to keep bottled soda cold and added a glass ice bucket for rose. It looks so refreshing!

We get lots of mail and so many packages and our mailbox was way too small (and looking worn out), so I replaced it with this one and now, the postman can fit much more in.

This bar cart (similar) has been one of the best additions to our front porch. I have styled this bar cart in endless ways and it’s perfect for holding drinks and food.

I’ve had my big wicker fern stand for several years now and I love the height and privacy it gives the porch. I found a similar, but shorter one here.

I love to light a citronella candle to keep the mosquitos away while we’re outside!

I recently ordered this entertaining book by Stephanie Nass and can’t wait to really pour over it! There are so many great recipes and the photography makes me want to immediately throw a party!
