About a year ago, my daughter talked me into getting a BoxyCharm Subscription. While we were in Boston she showed me the things she had received in her last box and I immediately subscribed. It sounded fun to receive a monthly box of goodies to try and it’s something I always look forward to! Most of the BoxyCharm boxes contain an eyeshadow palette and you can imagine that after a year, I have quite a collection. While I have my tried and true colors, it’s nice to experiment with unexpected color combinations to create different looks.

If you’re even a little bit into makeup, then you’ve probably considered buying a few eyeshadow palettes. Palettes are ideal to travel with because they contain complementary shades all contained in one neat little package. There are however, so many palettes options to choose from at every price point and choosing can be overwhelming…so here are a few that I’ve enjoyed experimenting with. Remember when looking at what might seem to be unusual colors for eyeshadows that these colors are meant to be blended. Play around with them and you’ll be surprised at the colors you end up really liking!
