At the end of 2021, I was happier than I ever remember being in my life. I felt that I had finally done the spiritual work to get me out of a funk that I had been in for many years. I firmly believe that our spiritual work never ends and we keep learning and growing if that’s what we choose to do.
As a result of much deep thought about what I wanted to do next, I decided that 2022 would be the year that I would grow my business, set some big goals for myself and end the year being able to say it was the best year of my life.
I decided to jump into two things immediately. The first thing I decided to do was to write a course that would help women in midlife. I named it Journey of Becoming because, as I said above, we are on a never ending journey. The second thing I decided to do was to enter a body building contest.
I am training for my competition and my course is complete. This course took me a solid month to write and some days I worked 12 hours or more, just sitting and writing. It included a written module, an audio of the module, a meditation that pertained to the day and homework.
I didn’t write this course claiming to be a professional coach. I wanted to share my story because I knew others could relate to what I had been through. I wanted to share how I came out the other end of a very dark place and time in my life. There were many valuable lessons learned during that time.
We are all enough because we are here on this earth…every single person, however, the problem is that most people don’t know they are enough just because…. We feel we have to prove our worth, or that we don’t matter in the first place. Midlife can be a time of such great change and a time when our confidence as women can become low because of so many unexpected circumstances. Menopause plays havoc with our bodies, we sometimes gain weight and have hot flashes and trouble sleeping. We can and many times do feel that we have no purpose because our children are grown and gone and that we’re not relevant anymore. And to top it all off, our marriages have often lost their spark.
I experienced so much of this…I went through a very rocky time in my marriage, we almost didn’t make it. I felt very depressed when my last daughter left for college and my confidence was rock bottom. I decided to start Crazy Blonde Life because it gave me something to do every day. Something creative that I could focus on and my hope was that it would someday make money because at the time, I sincerely thought my marriage would end.
However, starting my blog, wasn’t how I brought myself back. I brought myself back because I decided I wanted to. I decided. I had to learn that I mattered, that I was worthy, that I was good enough. I taught myself. I didn’t stop learning and reading and praying and meditating. I did it and the Universe responded to me. I am still learning and reading and praying and meditating. I will ever stop. I have decided what I want in my life and I will work every single day and I know without a doubt that my business will continue to grow, that I will continue to grow and that my marriage will only get better. I know this because it’s what I decided and every time I decide what I want and it’s definitive…the Universe responds to me.
This isn’t about religion. This isn’t about being an expert or a certified coach. This is about sharing what I went through, how I brought myself back and inspiring others to start that journey of realizing that they matter…that they always mattered…that they were always enough…but that they just temporarily forgotten.
I WANT TO HELP WOMEN MY AGE DECIDE TO HAVE THE LIFE THEY WANT AND DECIDE AGAIN EVERY SINGLE DAY BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT IT TAKES. IT TAKES NEVER GIVING UP ON YOURSELF. IT TAKES TELLING YOURSELF EVERY DAY THAT YOU CAN TAKE A BABY STEP TOWARD YOUR DREAMS. SOME DAYS YOU MAY TAKE A LEAP, OTHER DAYS, JUST A STEP, BUT YOU CAN ALWAYS ALWAYS MOVE FORWARD IF…YOU DECIDE TO.
I had seven women sign up for Journey of Becoming and we have all gotten to know each other through a Facebook group. I have enjoyed this more than I could possibly describe. From everything they’ve shared with me to this point, Journey of Becoming has been valuable to them and they have grown and will continue to grow as a result. That makes my heart so happy!
Suzanne is your program Journey of Beginning still open ?
Hi Susan
Thank you for asking! Journey of Becoming is in progress but I will offer it again on March 15. I hope you will be a part of it then! Let me know if you have any more questions and I’ll be happy to answer!
As one of the seven women to take Suzanne’s course I can share that it has been wonderful!! Each of the 21 days has helped me to think deeply, gaining new insights about my life, as well as providing tools to grow and evolve toward my better self. Suzanne’s email with that day’s module is the first thing I look at each morning.
Thank you Suzanne for being brave, vulnerable, and wise. This course and you are a true gift!!
Kelly Greene
Hi Kelly
Thank you so much for being a part of Journey of Becoming. During the process of writing this program and sharing it, I too gained insights and grew! I am so honored that you were a part of this group and it is my sincere prayer that you will continue to come back to the modules and dig deeper so that you may find more peace and clarity with each day. You are all gifts to me and this has been a very special 21 days.
This course sounds very interesting Suzanne.
Hi Rebecca
Thank you! I really poured my heart into Journey of Becoming and it’s something I’m very proud of!
Along with Kelly, I too was among the seven who participated in this beautiful, thought provoking program Suzanne has put together. I really looked forward to my quiet early morning ritual, reading the daily email and spending some quality time with myself. The homework, journaling and meditation really enabled a deeper sense of self reflection and awareness. I look forward to continuing on and referring back to these past 21 days… truly a gift in so many ways! Thank you Suzanne for sharing your journey which has enriched mine as well.
Hi Jeana
I just can’t even put into words how much this comment means to me and it makes me so happy that you’re planning to refer back to the program. Writing this program, getting to know everyone who joined, and interacting with you has been a gift to me in many ways! Thank you for trusting me and doing the work! Together we rise!
