I’m going to be honest…around the middle of July, I start thinking about fall fashion. I can remember sitting on the beach with the July issue of Vogue magazine (it was so thick I called it the fashion bible) and dreaming about wearing the clothes in that issue when the weather finally got cooler. I’m definitely not ready for summer to be over, but it’s not too early to start thinking about fall because once it arrives, the season gets busy in a hurry.

I spent a bit of time last night looking for just the right statement pieces for fall that will transition easily and made a collage and created a boutique of some things I think you’ll love. These are the pieces I’m dreaming about right now. I haven’t purchased any of them (yet), but every single one is on my wish list.

My beautiful, well-loved copy of Maximalism by Sig Bergamin is never far away, and I find myself flipping through it constantly. It not only inspires my decorating choices but also influences the way I think about fashion. His fearless use of color, pattern, and texture reminds me that the best style is full of personality and whimsy. Even if you’re not a maximalist, you’ll be inspired by this book!

If I had to choose one look from the boutique below, it would be the pieces on the first row. It’s no accident that I placed them there because they’re just too perfect. The sculptural earrings, those unbelievable wooden clogs, and the graphic chocolate brown and blue dress are statement pieces for fall in the truest sense. I have a feeling they’re going to have to be ordered together because I honestly couldn’t choose just one. I think you’ll see me wearing this look very soon!
