Clogs have long been a favorite footwear for me. Probably, if I’m going to be completely honest, all shoes are favorites…except for maybe Crocs…sorry! I have actually read that Crocs are coming back strong for spring 2021 and it’s a little puzzling to me. I certainly won’t be participating in that trend. I guess you could technically say that Crocs are clogs but definitely the “ugly shoe” version. Clogs are very cool shoes in my opinion and this is one trend for Spring that I’m happy about
If the “clog” conjures images of Swedish milkmaids or line dancing, rest assured that it has evolved from the all-practical Danskco. Clogs have become so much more…they can be platformed, high-heeled, low-heeled, made of tough leather or metallic. AND…they are back in a big way.
The folklorish clog has inspired many designers throughout the years such as Tom Ford and Alessandro Michele at Gucci, Maria Grazia with her DiorQuake clog in 2018 and Molly Goddard for Hermès for fall 2019. “The collection was inspired by a vision of “resurrection – You rest; you feel better; you recalibrate; you rediscover the most essential things, and realize what is clutter in your life.” These days, we’re all thinking about clearing the clutter and that might include the heels and boots that we have no place to wear anymore as we’ve been staying home. Comfort and convenience are more in the forefront. Keep scrolling to see 4 ways I’ve styled my clogs from Veronica Beard as well as some of my favorites. Also, read on to learn about some of the pieces I’m wearing from Armoire.
Other than talking about my obsession for clogs, I want to share a great company that I’ve found called Armoire. Armoire is a subscription clothing rental company and they make it so easy to wear your favorite brands without the financial commitment. Armoire gives you access to the best high-end brands for one flat monthly price. The offer three options for rentals, so there is something for everyone. You can sign up here or just look around the website to see the beautiful pieces for every occasion.
The outfit I’m wearing above is from Armoire. I’m completely in love with the jeans from Rag & Bone and the cute top is from Nicole Miller. I placed my first order not long ago and the clothes came in two days. Armoire also makes it really easy to return the clothes…they come in a reusable bag with a shipping label. It doesn’t get any easier than that…and, they do the laundry! You’ll be seeing me in many more pieces from Armoire in the coming months!
The top I’m wearing in these pictures is from Lou & Grey and no longer available but I’m linking some other great options below! In all honesty, I shopped my closet for all of these looks and had a hard time finding pieces that were really similar, but you get the idea…clogs are very versatile!
Pictured above, I’m wearing chino pants and sweater that I purchased in France last year…linking similar below!
The outfit I’m wearing is made up of velvet joggers from Anthropologie from several seasons ago with a black, cropped mock neck shirt. Even though I can’t link the exact pieces, the point is to say…clogs go with so many outfits and are so easy to throw on!

Hi Stefanie
I hope you find some new clogs that you love! I think I may need another pair myself! Thank you so much for reading my blog…I’m really glad it’s how you start your day!
I have always loved clogs even when they weren’t in style. And, I agree that your blog is such a good way to start the day! Thank you, Suzanne! And I didn’t get the chance to comment on Insta but the adorable video of you and your grandsons making cupcakes – just precious and fun! I’m smiling, again, just thinking about it! You are very blessed!
Hi Barbara
I feel the same way about clogs! Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but they are the most comfortable shoes ever! I cannot tell you how much your support of Crazy Blonde Life means to me and you are right…I am very blessed!
Hi Suzanne,
Your clogs are cute and look good on you! But, this time around I’ll pass The reason – I begged for a pair of clogs when I was about 14. My mom relented and I finally got a pair (they were red leather and I bought them in Solvang at the Danish clog store!). I found them very uncomfortable, clunky, and my feet would always slip out. I basically hated them, and regretted having put up such a stink to get a pair. But I had to live with my decision and didn’t get a new pair of shoes for a long time. Every time I saw those clogs sitting in my closet I felt remorseful! So, my sad clog story leaves me with no desire to get any now! Can you blame me? ; )
I don’t need another thing and renting clothing when I have no place to go isn’t for me. But who knows, in the future that might be a fun way to try new things! Thanks for the cute outfit ideas and always brightening up my day!
XO Heidi
Hi Heidi
Such a sad clog story, but I totally understand! It’s amazing how events that happened so long ago can still affect us today!
I think we all may be in the same boat as far as going places, but I’m hoping that it will change very soon! I’m ready…
I have always loved clogs and find them very comfortable! As far as the Crocs go…I don’t like them!!! However, I must admit that I do own similar types of croc like clogs that I have for gardening and also a pair or two that I wear for my work in the hospital. Easy to clean and disinfect and comfy on the feet when you are standing all day 🙂 Love your inspiration Suzanne!
Hi Jean
Anyone who thinks that clogs aren’t comfortable hasn’t found the right pair! I love the ease of slipping them on and going!
You are right about Crocs – they are very practical and I do need a new pair of shoes to wear when working in the yard. Looking forward to warmer weather so we can be outside doing just that! Thanks so much for reading!
Thank you for sharing!! I love clogs, always have! I still have a pair from high school, yes you heard me right!! Lol When I wore them to work one day some years back, I realized my shoes were older than some of my co workers, and they all loved them(they are leather with wooden soles) I have bought more over the years and love wearing them! Yours look great and as always you look beautiful!! HNY my friend
Hi Patty
Omg I can’t believe you still have clogs from high school! I wish I had kept mine…they were also leather with wooden soles. We probably all had the same ones.
Thank you so much for reading today! Here’s to a practical fashion trend that we can look forward to seeing more of!
