Hi Everyone! This post is part 2 of my experience at Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery. Several weeks ago, I had two procedures, The Halo Laser, which I talked about last week and the second procedure, Profound RF Skin Tightening on my upper thigh and butt.
As we age our skin loses elasticity and begins to drop and lines and wrinkles begin to appear. Over time even our buttock area can begin to drop. Profound RF is a new way to get tightening and lifting results with a non-surgical procedure. And yes, it can help eliminate the look of dimples and cellulite while lifting and tightening the butt for a more youthful look. Profound is a micro-needling procedure, not a laser, that help with sagging skin. A handheld device with tiny radio frequency energy needles is placed on the skin, releasing heat at a precise temperature and depth. This energy stimulates the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Recovery time can take up to a week, with maximal benefits typically seen about three months after a single treatment.
I am now are on week 3 and still somewhat sore, although it hasn’t been so bad that it’s prevented me from doing anything I wanted to do. I bought Spanx to wear after the procedure and that has made me more comfortable because of the compression.
With this treatment, I took valium and had numbing cream and also injections of numbing medicine as you will see in the video. I’ll be sharing the results from Profound RF Skin Tightening laser with you after 12 weeks. Also, as you will hear in the video below, I may decide to have another treatment at that time depending on results.
I have worked out for the majority of my life and have been pleased with what I was able to achieve by working out, but as I’ve gotten older, there were places that didn’t respond to anything I did and that really bothered me. Last summer, I was uncomfortable wearing a bathing suit and I never had been before. So…when I heard about Profound RF Skin Tightening procedure, I decided it would be something worth trying.
I honestly felt really uncomfortable sharing this on the blog, because of the area treated, however, If anyone wants to see more pictures that are a little more “graphic”, because you are considering the procedure, please let me know and I’ll be glad to share with you privately.
I will say that if you live in Atlanta and are considering having any procedure done, I highly recommend going to Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery. Everyone there was so nice and I had a wonderful experience!
The picture above is immediately after the profound treatment, I was swollen and bruised.
For this procedure, as with the last, I used Avené products to massage into the area that was treated. I’ve used Avené products in the past and really love this French Company.
The picture above was about 1 1/2 weeks out. I still have have some bruising at this point (3 weeks), but I am starting to see results and I’m thrilled about that!
Thanks so much for going on this journey of procedures with me! I hope that you’ve learned something and that if you’re considering any procedure that this post has helped. Please let me know…and tell me what procedures you may be thinking about and which ones you are interested in.

So brave of you to try and share! You look fabulous no matter what! However, I hope the results are just what you wanted! Early, Happy Easter!
Hi Barbara…thank you so much! I’m going to keep you posted! So far so good! Happy Easter to you!
Thanks for sharing. I can’t wait to see your results. Is the soreness you feel enough to keep you from working out, and how long after the procedure would you think I could return to work? Thanks!!!
Hi Lisa
I can already see a difference but will wait another month to post because I know that it can take up to 6 months to see the full result. I have been able to do anything. The soreness is hard to describe, but definitely not bad. Please feel free to email me if you want to ask anymore questions!
Did you have any follow up pictures?
