Happy September! This year is flying by and if you can even believe it, I’m starting to think about the holidays! With a new baby coming and the whole family being home for Thanksgiving and Christmas, there is a lot to plan…never mind creating blog and social media content and everything in between! I thought life was supposed to slow down as you got older, but I’m sure that’s just a misconception because I’m only getting busier! Some days I’m exhausted, but I really wouldn’t have it any other way! Life is good and I’m so grateful!

One thing that makes life easier is having fabulous basics in my closet that I can mix and match! Now that cooler weather is right around the corner (hopefully), I’m starting to think about lightweight layering pieces that are versatile and easy to wear and this vest is absolutely perfect!

Everyone needs a chic little puffer vest and this Anders Vest from Brochu Walker will be a forever classic in my closet! The designer touches like the high stand collar and the grosgrain detailing on the closure are standard details for Brochu Walker and one of the many reasons I love the brand! This down filled vest is lightweight and features side pockets (love pockets) for stashing keys, credit card and phone if needed! This stylish vest will go with everything in your wardrobe and you’ll reach for it again and again!

I styled the vest with flare jeans (my new favorite style), a simple tee (similar) from Michael Stars, brown suede booties from Ba&sh Paris (the color I’m wearing is from last season and the ones linked are exact but a tan instead of brown), a bag from Modus Rio (similar here) and a necklace from Holst & Lee (purchased at Rebecca & Co. Greensboro). Later in the season, I’ll add a sweater for more warmth! Dress this vest up or down…it would be amazing with leather pants and a sweater, or sneakers and cropped jeans! You really can’t go wrong with a classic, hard working piece like this!
