This year, for the first time, I am wearing mostly one piece swimsuits. I had an appendectomy a couple of months ago and it left my stomach looking a little less that cute. At first I was feeling a little disappointed about not being able to wear all my cute bikinis, but I’ve really been loving the one piece suits I’ve bought. I’ll wear some of my bikinis on the beach when it’s just family, but at the pool, and when the beach is crowded, I think the one piece suits look best and I’m fine with it.

One piece swimsuits come in so many styles nowadays and they can be so versatile and incredibly flattering when the fit is right. The right fit is everything {in anything, but especially swimsuits}.

I look for a few specific things when it comes to one pieces. First, I make sure there is enough skin showing. I don’t want to feel like I have on my moms swimsuit. Usually this comes in the form of a cutout, an open back or a deep V. It’s also important to make sure it cuts the butt at the perfect spot and doesn’t come down too far on the sides of the leg. A high cut on the leg is so much more flattering.

The right swimsuit will accent you in the right places and look seriously amazing!
