White jeans are my go-to for summer! I love white jeans because I feel more dressed up in them, they go with absolutely everything and they keep me warm when I’m in a cold restaurant, theatre, mall, etc.
Today, I’m styling three outfits with the same pair of cropped white jeans from Chico’s. These jeans are a perfect length and the fit is so comfortable. They have just enough stretch to stay looking good while you’re wearing them and they are so flattering. I’ll be wearing these jeans right into fall when the time comes, but for now…summer is in full swing and I’m loving it…in spite of the heat!
Neutrals are always appropriate and white and olive green are one of my favorite summer color combos. The cute jacket I’m wearing is a linen blend and very lightweight. It adds lots of style and a little warmth. I’ve styled it with Chico’s cropped white jeans, a white tank from Loft (I buy these in multiples), and cute sandals from Sam Edelman. This is an easy outfit to throw on and will take you so many places!
I completely fell in love with this sunny yellow blouse the minute I saw it. You could call it a tunic because the length is a little longer. It has so many details…it buttons up the back, has 3/4 sleeves with just the right amount of cuff and the fabric is gorgeous! Tan suede sandals from Veronica Beard and a white bag from another season complete the look. My pearl necklace is from Julie Miles!

Easy breezy and fun is how I would describe this red and white blouse! Perfect for a tropical vacation, or for a night when you wish you were on a tropical vacation! This outfit couldn’t be easier…I added a pair of transparent sandals with a gold heel and the look is complete. I think I’ve probably said this before, but these sandals from Cult Gaia are my most worn summer sandals…they go with everything, they’re so flattering on my foot, they are the perfect height and they can be worn with everything from jeans to shorts to dresses. The truth is, I could have worn them with all three of these outfits and they would have looked fabulous!

You look adorable in these outfits! I am attending my 50th high school reunion in September and am having a hard time figuring out what to wear. I would like to wear a summer dress but haven’t found one that I feel is right. I don’t want to be too casual. Any suggestions on where to shop for an outfit? I am a little hard to fit because I am short with a thick waist. I haven’t seen my classmates since graduation in 1972!

Thank you so much! I’m sure this high school reunion is going to be so much fun. I’ve looked into this and my advice would be to wear a dress with a higher waist line and a v neck or an a-line silhouette. You might check the Chico’s website and Soft Surroundings has really cute pieces and some are on the dressier side. It would probably be helpful to actually go to the store if you have one nearby.
