Why a Summer Coordinating Set Just Works

What could be easier in summer than a coordinating set? No thinking about what goes together, just get dressed and go…because summer is supposed to be effortless. This striped linen set is the kind of summer coordinating set that does all the work for me.

This brown and white striped linen set from Benaar LA is so crisp and cute! The sleeveless button-front top is so flattering, and the wide-leg trousers are perfect and exactly what you want when it’s warm out. I added a little contrast with the woven bag with its wooden bead, a couple of turquoise cuffs from Julie Vos, my VAHAN jewery, a great little pearl necklace from Julie Miles, and tortoise sunnies. A few unexpected pieces (like the bag and turquoise bracelets) keep it from looking like you just walked out of the store in the whole look.

The platforms are fabulous and give me some height so the wide-leg trousers don’t make me look squatty. A heel keeps the long line and makes my legs look longer than flats would. Platforms are so much easier to walk in and more casual most of the time, which is just what this look calls for.

One more thing…a summer coordinating set almost never stay a set. The striped top is going to look just as good with white jeans, and the trousers will work with a simple white tank tucked in. Buy both pieces and get four outfits! Summer means easy living!
