I’m such a sucker for nearly anything at Anthropologie and their dresses get me every time…especially this year with the maxi dress trend being huge! Often, when I’m feeling stuck on how to style an outfit, I go to the Anthropologie website or Instagram for the best styling ideas!

The dress I’m wearing here caught my eye because of the way it was styled and I kept going back and looking at it until I finally pulled the trigger. If I had just waited about a week longer, I could have gotten it on sale, but sizes go so quickly and especially extra smalls so I’m not sorry! Anyway…I knew I had great boots to style it with and a belt that would work as well! I’ll be wearing this on repeat in early September, but I also brought it to the beach to wear with sandals. I do love it with sandals but I really love it with the leather belt and booties! It’s a great way to take a full on summer dress into early fall!

Side note…we’re back at Bald Head Island and it’s been raining all day long and the humidity is 700%! I went for a run this morning and got caught in the rain! It was pretty miserable while it was happening, but I’m laughing now! I’ve never run so fast in my life! The dogs didn’t even recognize me when i burst in the door because I was soaked from head to toe! It was raining so hard that I had to duck into someone’s garage and leave my phone…and then hop in the golf cart and go back and get it after I finally got home. It’s a small island so it was a fine thing to do and no one was home, but still…crazy! I’m lucky the lightening didn’t get me! Baldy was working out at the gym and completely oblivious! Oh well…hopefully the sun will come out soon! I certainly hope you all are having better weather where ever you happen to be!
