Shawarma Air Fryer Chicken – Dinner Tonight in a Flash

01

I should probably get this out the way from the start…if you’re looking at the pictures in this post and reading the recipe and feel like something is missing…it is! I’m not quite sure where my brain was when I was making this recipe, or if I was trying to do too many things at once, but I left out the garlic and onions. The truth is, this Shawarma Air Fryer Chicken is still one of the tastiest things I’ve ever made!

I have been using my air fryer more and more and wondering why it took me so long to get on board! It’s such a great way to cook without using much oil, it’s really quick, the cleanup is minimal and everything I’ve made has been fabulous! I know you’re going to love this recipe…even if you forget the garlic and onions!

This recipe calls for shawarma spice blend that you can make yourself or purchase. It’s a spice blend that’s smoky, spicy, and incredibly versatile…and perfect for seasoning crispy chickpeas, falafel, curries, scrambled eggs, vegetables, and more! I will definitely be keeping this on hand!

As always…thank you for reading today! I’m loving these food posts and if you ever want to watch the videos for them, please be sure to follow me on Instagram! Your comments are much appreciated so let me know what you think in the comment box below!

    Timely post!

I was gifted an air fryer last week and I admit that I’d been wondering what the heck to do with the thing (like you I’d never considered getting one, I was under the impression it was a gadget that was for things like convenience freezer food like chicken nuggets and corn dogs, which I don’t eat.)

Now THIS…what you posted…I will eat.

And, I am planning a grocery shopping trip today so guess what’s for dinner! Quick real food that’s healthy are very much appreciated.

    Best,

Thought I’d ask, cookbook recommendations for this new toy lurking on my kitchen counter?

      Hi April

It makes me so happy that you’re going to use your air fryer! Please let me know what you think of the chicken and also please try the salmon bites because they are delicious!
I don’t really have a specific air fryer cookbook, but I know the latest Half Baked Harvest cookbook has some air fryer recipes that I’m sure are delicious!

I think you mentioned 1 pp oimd of chicken on your IG. Can you confirm? In the kitchen currently with a glass of rose and spices. 🙂

      Hi April
Haha that sounds like a nice place to be. I do think I said 1 pound of chicken on my IG, but 1-1/2 pounds is better. Please let me know what you think! Thanks so much for reading!

My husband commented last evening as we were eating the Shawarma Chicken meal, “Where in the world did you get this recipe?!? It is amazing!!”
I love the fact that all the recipes I’ve followed and made are delicious and don’t leave me feeling stuffed from a heavy meal. Please keep sharing.
