It’s almost the weekend! I’m really looking forward to having a little downtime…it’s been a long time coming! It seems that I’ve been working 24/7 and don’t get me wrong, I love it, but sometimes a girl just needs a break! I bought some new planters for my front porch that I’m going to fill with flowers and work in my flower beds. I know it’s going to be a hot one, but being outside is the best therapy!
I wanted to share this adorable shift dress from Trina Turk with you today! Shift dresses are so comfortable and easy. This one has a really casual feel because it’s cotton and has pockets, which I love! It’s from last season and I was lucky enough to get in on sale but I’m linking some really great ones below! The bag, believe it or not, was one that came as part of a free gift with makeup in it! I’ve kept it because it’s such a great color and it was perfect with this dress! My white sunglasses are from Target!

Luckily we have a pretty mild climate here, but when it gets in the 90’s+ I usually pull on a soft cotton tee-like fabric skirt and something sleeveless on top. I really don’t do well in the heat! Linen is great for those days too, I have a few flowy tops and some pants that are great, you don’t even feel them on! Thank goodness for cool ocean breezes!
