Photography 101 with Sara-Anne Caudle

01

When I first started Crazy Blonde Life, I had no idea where my blogging journey would lead me! As with everything in life, the choices you make lead you down certain paths and I can say that deciding to start a blog was one of the best decisions I could have ever made. Blogging is a whole world of learning that encompasses many different things! I’ve learned so much about my computer and social media, I’ve become interested in photography, animation (more about that later), video, AND I’ve met the most wonderful people…including Sara-Anne Caudle of Sara-Anne Photography. Sara-Anne is a brilliant and very talented photographer and she has taught me so much about my camera.

A while back, Sara-Anne and I decided to do a series of videos to help our readers learn to use their cameras and become better photographers. Whether you have a blog or just want to take good quality pictures, these videos are for you! So…here is the first in a series of videos designed to teach photography in the easiest way possible. I hope you enjoy! For more about photography, be sure to check out Sara-Anne’s blog where you will find a wealth of helpful information, and be sure to follow Sara-Anne on Instagram to see her beautiful photography!

I decided, several years ago to invest in a good camera which I think is important! There are so many different cameras out there, so take the time to do a little research to figure out which camera is best for you. Mine is a Nikon D7500 and has video capability. A good lens to learn with is a 50mm, but again, there are so many to choose from. I’m linking mine below.

I’m so excited for this, Suzanne! Photography, and fear of it, really holds me back. Looking forward to watching the videos and learning more from you and Sara-Anne. xo

      Hi Juliet

Sara-Anne has a way of making it all look easy! She really has taught me so much! Thanks so much for watching and look for the next video soon!

  2. Suzanne and Sara-Anne, This was SO incredibly helpful! My sister has been a professional photographer for years and years- and I think she cringes whenever I text or call her now with another photography question, lol. Seriously, this was an excellent tutorial. Thanks so much and I look forward to the next videos!

Just catching up on this now! Such a wonderfully helpful video. I love the fact that it’s geared towards shots for blogging and social media and it was so helpful seeing exactly where the buttons are on each camera (I’ve got at Canon model). Now to get out there and just start practicing, practicing, practicing while also encouraging my hubby/photog to do the same! Looking forward to the upcoming lessons.
