On Monday of last week, I went with my blogger friend Leanna Michelle to Target! She had a busy day, so we met there at 8:00 am which was the best time to try on clothes and I highly recommend it! There was no one in the store and we each filled up a shopping basket and went into the dressing room! It was the first time I’ve ever tried on anything at Target ( I know, crazy). For some reason, when I’m there, I’ll grab a few tee shirts and shoes and maybe the occasional dress hanging near the isle, but I never truly scour the place for cute pieces! I’m not sure why…I was pleasantly surprised at how many cute things I found!
This first dress is one of my favorite purchases! In this picture, I paired it with a green “grandpa cardigan” (comes in 5 colors) that I’ll wear with so many things this fall and a cute hat.
In the next few pictures, I took took off the sweater, added a burgundy wool hat, some big earrings and a pair of cork heel mules (also from Target). It was sooo hot the afternoon these pictures were taken so the dress was perfect for the weather, and the color is right on trend for fall.
I loved the black pants and leopard top (below), but did not purchase either (also tried on this one). Looking back, maybe I should have gotten the top to wear with jeans or black pants I already own. It’s great for all seasons as it would be perfect under a blazer or jacket. I did, however get the block heel sandals. I think they look great and will go with everything and the quality seemed fine!
I loved this green dress as well, but did not purchase. It was slightly too long, even with the mules. The straw bag did come home with me and you’ll see it styled in a post next week.
The best part of the day was having fun with Leanna! I hope you’ll follow her on Instagram and check out her blog…she is absolutely adorable!

I love that dress – it looks gorgeous on you! I don’t remember seeing it on my last run to Target (I go for dog treats and somehow get sucked into every bit of the women’s apparel and accessories area). I’ll definitely be on the lookout for it. And their summer stuff is going on sale now, too! And I really love that green one. I’m definitely going to have to look for that one, as olive is a great transitional color to ease us into fall. I love that it’s long, too. I’m tall and maxis are difficult to find for me (they end up being midis, which is fine if you’re looking for a midi). I love the accessories and that bag is awesome! Thanks for taking one for the team and trying on all of these pieces (I think you should have kept the leopard print and leggings, too, since they looked wonderful on you, but then I think everything looks wonderful on you!).

I get sucked into way too many things at Target! I love the Magnolia Home section…anything Chip and Joanna is great! Also, the workout things are amazing as is the beauty product section! I always without fail get more than I plan! I figure if you’re there, you might as well make the most of it!
