Well…the situation we are all in has certainly gotten real this week! I have enjoyed parts of my week, but as we all are…I’m ready to go out to dinner, get my nails done, etc. My heart is aching for everyone who is suffering from this virus and also frightened and alone. I hope I’ve provided a balance this week of fun and serious posts for you. Life is different for everyone and even though we pray for those affected by the current events, laughing and feeling positive are very acceptable and I believe they put good energy into a bad situation. Thank you all so much for your kind comments and support this week! Sending out love to all! I’m sharing a few things that I love and hope you all do to!
FAVORITE SUPPLEMENTS FOR SELF CARE
Every morning, for at least 2 years, I’ve been taking several supplements. I seem to keep adding new ones, but I’m sure that my skin and hair have gotten healthier and I have more energy and enjoy other health benefits as a result of taking these supplements. Before taking anything, each morning, I drink 2 large glasses of water. In the same glass, I add a little more water and stir in Welleco Super Elixir, Isagenix Adaptogen for Stress Relief, Goop Glow Morning Super Skin Powder, and (not pictured) Vital Proteins Collagen Powder…I stir the whole thing together and then fill the glass up the rest of the way with water. It seems like a strange combination, but it tastes fine and I know I’m doing something really nice for myself. All of these products come in travel sizes so you can take the packets when you’re traveling (hopefully we can all do that soon!). The Sakara Life Metabolism Super Powder is great in smoothies, fires up metabolism and eliminates bloat. It has a great chocolate flavor. The Goldie Turmeric Tonic Blend is delicious stirred into warm almond milk with a little honey. I love it as a mid morning pick-me-up. I also take Nutrafol Women’s Balance for hair wellness, D-Mannose + Cranberry for Urinary Tract Health and also not pictured is Magnesium. I could (and maybe will) write a whole blog post on magnesium. It fixes everything from memory loss to constipation and a high enough magnesium intake can help ensure good bone density. I take magnesium in the evening before bed because it also helps with getting a good night’s sleep!

Yes, please do write a blog post on magnesium. I’m not too familiar with its benefits and would like to hear more. Thank you Suzanne! Oh.. another suggestion – any tips on beauty or hair or skincare products easily found in drugstore or grocery store as shopping these days is limited? Thanks again!
Hi Marysue
I took your suggestion and did a post on magnesium…just published. I would love to know your thoughts! I will also do a drugstore skincare, beauty product post later in the week! Thank you for great ideas…I always appreciate!
Hi Suzanne
Interesting about the supplements. I love your top and have a pair of sandals with a geometric heel similar to those. Hubby and I LOVE hummus, so I will pin your recipe. Hope you are doing well, and getting outside when we have this nice weather.
take care. Jess
I love that Soleil cotton and silk top, but I wish it was less expensive! I have appreciated your outfit ideas and have purchased some of the items that don’t cost as much. It would be great to see more, less costly, ideas. Thanks!
I try really hard to do a good mix of prices, but will post a few things from Loft and Target later in the week! Thank you so much for reading today…and for your comment! Have a great week!
Hello, Suzanne! My apologies if not appropriate but included you in a Recipe Exchange email. No worries if you don’t/can’t participate! Hubby and I have been gardening the past week so today it’s time to binge watch "Succession" or something else (Grace and Frankie, again?)! Have a nice weekend!
Hi Barbara
I saw the Recipe Exchange in my email and would love to participate! We’re getting a puppy today, so it might be later in the week, but it sounds like fun! Thanks so much for including me!
Hi, could u tell what brand white jeans u wear ? I wear Hudson but there very thin show imperfections! Lol . God bless you and your family .
Hi Joan
My favorites right now are Citizens of Humanity. They have just a little stretch and fit me well. I think it’s trial and error when it comes to jeans because what fits me won’t necessarily fit me. Try the Citizens and see what you think. Thank you for reading my post! I wish you and your family all the best during these trying times.
