It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Yesterday, we finally hung the stockings, so it’s official…Christmas is here at the Smith home. Today is my grandson’s Christmas program at school and tomorrow our daughter Rebecca will arrive and then on the 23, our youngest daughter and her husband (and our grand dog, John Wayne) will be here! The festivities have begun and I’m so excited to have everyone together! There will be lots of cooking and eating…a little Champagne drinking, Christmas movie watching, and maybe some last minute shopping!
I’m still amazed at how quickly this year has gone by and it feels so good to say that in many ways, this has been one of the best years of my life! I’m anticipating much joy in 2020, but for now, I just want to spend time with family and enjoy every minute that’s left in 2019!

Clearly, I was feeling festive when I got dressed for this video! I got the red plaid pants last season at H & M while we were in New York and there is nothing more festive than red plaid for Christmas. I paired them with a sweater I got at H & M this year while in NYC…I do like to pop into H & M to see what’s new because you just can’t beat the prices. My Gucci combat boots added just enough edge to make this outfit fun. You can shop similar below!

What a beautiful home! They have such character and charm and you’ve done yours just right to showcase it. I love that the ceilings are different colors and I love the idea of wallpapering a ceiling – yours turned out great! That mural wallpaper in your dining room is gorgeous! You’ve done such an amazing job with decorating. I just threw a few things around this year. I think I’ll go home and make it prettier this weekend before family gets here :/ I love those plaid pants, too. I’ve been looking at red plaid pants all fall and winter and I just need to break down and buy some. Thanks so much for inviting us into your home! We’ve always had older homes in the States and I just love them. Now we’ve bought an older apartment here in the Republic of Georgia and are renovating it. Thanks for the tour of your lovely home! You’ve given me a lot of decorating ideas.
