I know…it’s still summer and I’m all about embracing the seasons but I do like to start to change my color palette slightly to reflect the coming fall season.

I discovered Marie Oliver last year in the spring and purchased a Marie Oliver dress to wear for my 60th birthday dinner. I absolutely loved it and have worn it several times since. Marie Oliver is a North Carolina-based ready-to-wear label offering sustainable, high-quality pieces that makes you feel confident and beautiful. The clothes are so wearable and they have a variety of styles…truly something for everyone.

I’m wearing the Kiki dress that features a bold, stylized palm design mimicking a black and rust animal stripe. I absolutely love the fit of this dress…it’s a perfect length for me, not too tight or too loose and it has pockets! I paired the dress with a necklace from French Kande and shoes from Marc Fisher. I have these shoes in two colors and have worn them all summer long with everything! They’re very comfortable and so neutral that they look great with whatever you pair them with. The Jimmy Choo bag was a splurge but one I’ll keep forever and I’m really excited to style it for fall (this one is similar from Madewell)!

I’m wearing this dress now with sandals but I’ll definitely be pairing it with boots or booties later on when the weather gets cooler. I think it would also be perfect for Thanksgiving! I’m always running around so I’ll feel comfortable while still being stylish!

I’m currently at Bald Head Island and enjoying a bit of R&R! The weather here is glorious and I’m loving walks with Amos and long dinners on the porch! We now have a fabulous farmer’s market here on the island on Fridays, so I’m headed over soon to get fresh veggies and crabmeat! I hope you all have a great weekend!
