It’s Cozy Sweater Season

01

It’s that time of year again…time to pull out our sweaters and think about colder weather (in most parts of the country). Supposedly, the winter here in North Carolina is going to be unusually cold and I want to be prepared! The little cold snap we’ve been having caught me entirely off guard because most of my cold weather clothing is still packed away!

When it comes to the change of seasons, I only like a few cold days, preferably during times when I don’t have to go out (kidding but not kidding! Since, obviously, I can’t order the weather, I can be prepared have a stack of sweaters ready to wear when the temps drop and I’m working on that now!

Did you know that fringe is trending for fall 2023?

While I feel that my style is classic for the most part, I do like to incorporate popular trends if I like them, but I don’t wear trends just because they’re trending! One trend that I’ve always loved that is popular this year is fringe.

Fringe is fun and can be worn in so many ways…all out long fringe, or more understated (like the sweater I’m wearing here). It ‘s definitely one of my favorite trends for fall 2023! Fringe is being shown on almost everything so, if you like it you can add a lot, or just a little (like on a bag or top).

A sweater coat is one of my favorite ways to stay warm when the weather is cool and it has been so cool the past few days! Sweater coats are so much softer than structured coats and very comfortable and cozy to wear! Since longer cardigans are always classic and will always be trending and the addition of fringe on this sweater coat (cardigan) from Lysse New York makes it on trend, classic and a closet essential!

This whole outfit (with the exception of shoes and belt is from Lysse New York! The jeans are a pull on style with a straight leg and really comfortable. I love the fray hem and the medium wash. I am 5’4” so they are a great length on me…they have a 30” inseam. The black blouse is made from a luxurious wrinkle resistant fabric and has a little stretch. I added gold accessories (earrings and necklace) and my Gucci Belt and black suede booties from Stuart Weitzman (these booties are my favorite ever and I just bought another pair! These pieces are fabulous together but are also amazing and versatile separates!

Lysse New York is a somewhat new brand for me and I find the clothes very stylish, easy to wear and affordable! Keep scrolling for a boutique of some of my favorites below!

For some reason, I haven’t been able to answer your comments! It’s a technical issue and I’m working on reworking my website and getting some bugs worked out! Please don’t stop leaving comments and know that I’m reading them and will answer ASAP!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for reading!
