There are few things more exciting than finding a dress that feels truly special…the kind of piece that not only turns heads but also makes you feel completely yourself. That’s how I felt the moment I tried this dress on…it’s so me! To be perfectly honest…I had a few parameters when I started looking for a dress to wear to a party on Saturday night. I hade a melanoma removed from my arm a little over a week ago (getting the stitches out today). The incision right below my bicep on my right arm and I wanted a dress that would cover that. This dress does the job and looks so elegant at the same time!

Another thing that immediately drew me to this dress is the unexpected pairing of textures. The top is a beautifully ribbed sweater knit, fitted in all the right places and incredibly comfortable. It creates a sleek, sculpted silhouette that balances the drama of the skirt.

And oh… the skirt.

A full midi-length taffeta balloon skirt… it sways with every step and catches the light in the dreamiest way. It has that couture-inspired fullness, refined yet playful…and (my favorite detail) – pockets. A must for all dresses, as far as I’m concerned.

To keep the attention on the dress, I styled it with sleek, polished accessories: – black slingback stilettos from Paris Texas that are feminine and still a little edgy, sheer black tights to keep me warm, a rhinestone-encrusted clutch that ties everything together with a touch of sparkle and of course, jewelry from VAHAN!

The overall look feels like modern holiday glamour!

The sleeves feature a long, elegant slit, giving them a fluid, modern feel. They open just enough to reveal a shimmer of jewelry underneath, making this dress the perfect stage for my VAHAN bracelets.
