Fashion is delightfully unpredictable right now, and I have to admit…I’m loving it. There really aren’t many rules, which means you can embrace whatever speaks to you. One minute it’s soft romance, the next it’s tailored utility, and somehow they all work together. As we begin thinking about fall, though, one theme continues to emerge: earthy, grounded colors. Olive green, warm camel, rich cognac, creamy ecru, chocolate brown and soft denim blues are taking center stage, often paired with natural textures like suede, leather, cotton and denim. Pantone’s Autumn/Winter Fashion Color Trend Report highlights these grounded neutrals as key colors for the season, making them a smart investment now and an easy transition into cooler weather. I love that these shades feel timeless rather than trendy, creating a wardrobe that’s polished, versatile and full of pieces you’ll reach for again and again.

As I finish writing this, I’m looking out over the golf course, grateful for another beautiful day at the beach. Summer always seems to slip by faster than I expect, and while I’m soaking up every bit of sunshine, ocean breezes and the slower pace of these days, I can already feel myself looking forward to the change of seasons. There’s something about these earthy colors and rich textures that capture that feeling so perfectly…they bridge the gap between summer and fall in the most effortless way. For now, though, I’m going to close my laptop, head to the pool, and enjoy this beautiful day!
