The sun is out and the beach is calling! I’ve found some great fitting swimsuits and cover-ups from Boston Proper that you’ll be able to wear with confidence! So get your suit on and get ready to dive in!

This black swimsuit makes a bold statement coming and going…the back is gorgeous and I love the plunge in the front! Coverage is important to me and this suit provides just the right amount…it’s a stylish and all around great suit! My black sunnies are from Amazon.

A few weeks ago when I was at the dermatologist, I asked her about my crepey skin and what I could do to make it better. In the past year, it seems that it has gotten worse and worse and it’s very discouraging!
I wouldn’t go back in my life and be any younger, but this aging thing is for the birds! Anyway, she recommended Tretinoin anywhere my skin was looking crepey but also pointed out that it would take a while to make a difference! So in addition to Tretinoin, I’ve been using One Skin OS 01 Body Treatment which is designed to strengthen the skin barrier, improve hydration, and promote firm, resilient skin from the neck down. I’m hoping to see some results from the combination of these two products.

It’s been so nice to be in Miami for a few days! The weather has been beautiful and I’m so grateful that we’ve been able to relax a little! We had a fabulous dinner last night at Il Mulino at the Acqualina Resort and I definitely want to stay there next time we come to Miami…it’s so beautiful!
Getting away is always fun but I am really looking forward to picking up Amos and Archie tonight and being home for the weekend!
Thanks so much for reading today!

We are aging and crepey skin (if you’ve spent any time outdoors) is kind of a fact of life, unless you’ve got great genetics. If we are always battling the signs of aging, it’s sometimes easy to forget what’s important in life. It’s okay for our skin to show its age. Our purpose, as women, is not to be pretty things that are objectified. And to attempt to stay youthful on the exterior is something that only is temporary. I definitely keep my mind young. That is an absolutely achievable objective. We MUST change how we think about getting older. Especially for the generations of women that come after us. I feel like we are failing miserably.
Hi Cindy
I feel that we can battle the signs of aging and remember what’s important in life at the same time! I do not want to be objectified! I work very hard every day…I started this blog and it has grown into a business that I’m proud of! I love fashion and feeling pretty, but I do have my priorities in order. My family is everything to me and I’m so proud of the relationship I have with my daughters and my grandchildren!
You can’t lump everyone into a category just because they care about how they look as they age!
I created children that are the next generation…they are educated strong women, great mothers and wonderful people who care about the world around them! They in turn,, are raising wonderful children who are my grandchildren. They are also stylish women who care about how they look!
In my opinion, the best example we can set is to accept people as they are, embrace differences and not worry about what everyone else is doing. I heard it said that if you’re worried about someone else’s path, you’ve fallen of your own! Yes, aging is a privilege and I’m going to look my best as I age and enjoy every minute of my life!
Lovely post about aging with grace and positivity! We all need more role models like you! You don’t want to be 25 again, and neither do I. However I do want to look and feel my best, to be my best. When we look good, we feel good, we are happier, kinder, which rubs off on others, and I can’t think of a better way to be more for our family and friends. Aging is a blessing, but let me tell you I want to look good doing it! Now that’s a role model! Aging shouldn’t be feared we should all look forward to it. Being older is fabulous, and getting to a point where you can look back and see how wonderful your family and friends are, while looking good, now that’s a role model. Looking good is different for everyone, and some people care more about other ways to make themselves feel good. Let’s stop putting others down for their opinions, that’s what the younger generation needs to see.
Hi Taryn
I couldn’t agree more with your comment! I’ve accepted my age and embrace the wisdom that comes with it…I’m so grateful for all the lessons learned in my life and I’m a better person because of what I’ve been through! I do however, want to look my best as I get older and I’ll do what it takes to look my best!
I know that isn’t the popular opinion with everyone but we all are entitled to our opinions!
Thank you for this comment! It’s definitely a conversation…
You look amazing in your swimsuit, I know no one confident enough to do photos like that then go on to show the “behind” shot. Love that you are then able to talk about crepey skin after looking so fabulous.Thank you for being real in conversation and spirit.
Hi Jennifer
What a sweet comment! Thank you!
The crepey skin has become an issue in the past year or so and I’m doing everything I can to stop it from getting worse! I know being in the sun isn’t the best thing but I do love the sun! I guess we have to accept some things that come with age!
