This year, the Kentucky Derby will be held on May 3 and it’s sure to be an exciting day! I’m planning a party and can’t wait to get my outfit together! I’ll be sure to have mint juleps and plenty of traditional Derby Day treats and hopefully, the weather will be sunny and perfect so we can be outside!

Dressing up for a Derby Day party is an opportunity to show off your individual style! You can be as outrageous as you like on this day! Traditional attire is usually characterized by vibrant colors so choose a dress and a flamboyant hat that reflect your personality…go all out if you like! Accessories definitely play an important role so don’t forget statement earrings and even gloves that will add even more style to your look. As you prepare for the day, remember that it’s not just about the fashion—it’s about celebrating with friends, enjoying the horse races, drinking a mint julep and making lasting memories, but just be sure to look amazing!
