I’m going to start with one of my favorite quotes from Marianne Williamson…
“We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world.”
I’ve had some truly amazing things happen over the past few days and I know that it’s the result of my 100% belief that things are always working out for me, and in my favor.
The power to create a day and a life you love starts with knowing that you are brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous. It starts with know knowing that you can create anything, anytime, anywhere…when you truly believe that you can.
The day will be what you make it, so rise, like the sun, and burn. ~ William C. Hannan
I have found that my very best days start with meditation and I have made a commitment to meditate every. single. morning. The power to create a life you love will flow through you when you connect to The deeper Source from which everything flows.
Every morning after my meditation, I say aloud…
I begin this day with the wisdom to trust that I am profoundly loved and supported by the Universe, that its infinite power lives all around me and is the light within me.
Meditation…taking some time to be still and connect with that infinite power is crucial.
In so many ways, life starts over in midlife. Everything changes it seems and it’s not always easy to see our way and figure out what we want our lives to be. It can be scary and uncomfortable to even imagine the next chapter, but the truth is…you really already know how to do it.
If you’re struggling with the confidence, energy or motivation to create your the next chapter of your life, remember that the world needs your brilliant, gorgeous, talented self. The world needs what you specifically have to offer so don’t play small.
Absolutely anything you desire, is yours to create. The only thing stopping you is you.
Follow your heart, every single day and take a step toward your dreams and desires…even if you feel afraid. You’ll gain confidence as you go.
Meditation, connecting with stillness and Source every day will help you to stop the voices in your head telling you that things aren’t possible. Anything is possible if you believe it is. You’ll gain confidence as you go. It’s not your job to worry about what anyone else believes is possible or to worry about what anyone else thinks of you. It only matters what you think of you.
“Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all, confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be attained.” ~ Marie Curie
Get yourself moving and get yourself learning, every day. Journal about your dreams and desires. Be specific about what you want and write it down first thing in the morning. Writing down your deepest desires, creates intention. Take some time to learn more about what it is that you want to do and you’ll be inspired to make some progress toward your goals. If you make small progress toward big goals, you’ll start to see big results over time. A little progress every day can and will change your whole life.
Nothing worth having in life just happens. Living and creating the life you dream of comes from being intentional. You must believe that your dream is possible and trust in the power of the Universe, Source, God or whatever you choose to call it to guide you in the right direction. Ask in prayer and listen in meditation. Don’t ignore those little nudges from the Universe. When you feel a strong urge to do something, call someone, go somewhere…do it, make the call and go!!
Tell yourself that things are always working out, and have faith, even on the hard days.
“Personal confidence comes from making progress toward goals that are far bigger than your present capabilities.” ~ Dan Sullivan
Go for it now, whatever it is, Do it while you’re afraid and do it while questioning yourself.
You will gain confidence as you go. Trust yourself.
Your commitment to your goals shows in the results you’re getting right now. When you’re serious about getting better results in your life, you do what needs to be done to make those goals happen. You’ll stop making excuses. You’ll become more willing to do hard things, to fail, to face rejection and to look dumb. If you never fail, you’re simply not trying.
“The definition of hell: At the end of your life the person you became meets the person you could have become.”
Sooo, get up, meditate, journal, shower, put on a cute outfit and show up! It may not always be easy, but you’ll never be sorry!
Love this. Thanks for the inspiration. Sitting here wondering what am I supposed to do with my life now that my kids are older and don’t "need" me. Spent the past 27 years raising them and now I’m feeling lost. I pray constantly for an idea of what I’m supposed to do next. I work full time but it’s just not fulfilling. I need my job because I love it and completely contradicts my last sentence but it’s not enough. If that makes any sense. Anyway…thanks again for the motivation.
Hi Gloria
Yes! It totally makes sense. You’re looking for something that feeds your soul if I’m reading this correctly! Don’t stop searching, but also remember to take some time to be still and listen. My children are grown also with lives of their own. I think it’s a common thing for women to go through major changes when children move on. I know you’ll find what you’re looking for! Thank you so much for reading today!
Thank you for this, Suzanne! At the start of the Holiday season, your words are wonderfully grounding and inspirational. Love reading your blog as it’s always fun, interesting and encouraging. Thank you, again!
Wishing you and your family a Happy, Healthy Thanksgiving!
Hi Barbara
I do hope to inspire others to live intentionally…it’s not easy everyday, but definitely worth the effort! Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful holiday season!
So Suzanne. YOU are a talented writer. Keep encouraging others to pursue their dreams. You are certainly an example to us all. Nancy H
Hi Nancy! Thank you so much! My life has changed so much over the past several years…I’ve been on quite a journey, but I know that it changed for the better because I took the steps to grow and make it happen! I appreciate your sweet comment!
So true and so encouraging! Thanks for the kick in the butt – I really needed it! Oh…and I’m definitely going to recreate that outfit with what I have in my closet – so simple but so classy!

Hi Ruth!
Thank you so much for reading today! Sometimes things come just when they’re supposed to!
Suzanne this is fantastic! It is exactly what I have been focusing on! I’m not very good at technology, as my teenagers always remind me! Is there a way to print just this post? Or is it possible to email it to me? I wanted to print it as a reminder and to keep me inspired. Thank you for your inspirational words. While I love your fashion posts, I really love your posts about making life meaningful. Your wisdom and insight give me a lot to think about. Thank you for so generously sharing with all of us who follow you!
Great road map 👏 👌 Susanne on this platform to get women inspired to start on the journey of becoming best version of self, that may not know just how to star.
Hi April
Thank you so much! What I’ve learned is that it’s not about where you’ve been, it’s about where you’re going and what you want to create!
