Where Will Your Curiosity Lead?

I always listen to podcasts or YouTube videos in the car while I’m driving and a few days ago, I was listening to BrenΓ© Brown and she was talking about the armor that we put on to protect us. By the time we get to midlife, we have experienced some hard things and in response, the armor goes up…however, instead of protecting us, it keeps us stuck and small. She said the solution was to get curious!

After giving this some thought, I realized that I had done just that in my life. It seems that it was an intuitive thing for me because I certainly didn’t plan it. I was inspired by the young girls I saw who were writing blogs and creating beautiful spaces online…basically, they were documenting their lives. I see now that when you begin to document your life, it actually elevates how you live. There is a fine line there because you don’t want to live your life so that you can document it, you want to live a life worthy of documenting. But…back to the point - I became curious about starting my own blog and as I’ve said before, it gave me something to do when my life was very hard…a focus.

One thing led to another and I began to be interested in learning spiritual principles and got extremely curious about how I could apply them to my life. As I learned more, I became more curious and that hasn’t ended. My curiosity has only become stronger and now being connected to a higher power has become my passion! I have been able to apply these principles to my life and living in this way…being more connect to my power, has made my life happier, more joyful than ever, and now…I always expect things to work out for me!

While there will always be hard days and struggles, what really matters is how equipped you are to deal with them. Midlife can and should be one of the best times in life. By now, you have gained so much wisdom and hopefully, you are curious about something!

Consider taking off the armor because there is so much life to be lived and it’s just holding you back and not protecting you at all! Get curious and go and enjoy your life! Learn how to bring yourself back when you hit a bump in the road and follow your passions! I promise…you won’t be sorry!

Today I’m sharing a few ideas for spring outfits! It’s just now really getting warm here and I’m not sad about that! The exact items or similar are linked below the outfits and I’m including a boutique at the bottom with some less expensive items as well!

The sweater I’m wearing above is from Joie and several years old but stripes are always great for spring! I’ve linked several similar below!

Genius is the word I would use to describe this trench from Veronica Beard! It’s almost seasonless and so stylish! I’m wearing it with a black silk blouse, black sandals and my flare jeans from Pistola!

My current obsession is my new orange tote (I’ve linked a less expensive but fabulous one in the boutique below)! It adds interest to every outfit I wear it with and certainly jazzes up neutrals!

These cute and very comfortable pants from loft are great with sandals but would also be too cute with a white tee or tank and sneakers…they’re so versatile! I’ve paired them with a black short sleeve sweater, and a great gold necklace!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you’ve been inspired to get curious!
