Tie Dye - The Print Everyone Loves
Who What Wear calls tie dye the pattern of the pandemic. Up until last year, most of us associated tie dye with 1960’s fashion and Woodstock. It had a resurgence in the early 90’s, but really took off in 2020 and is still going strong! Tie dye can be found on everything from dresses to workout gear and shows up in many different forms, but they’re all good!
I ordered the dress I’m wearing here from Anthropologie and if you’re still wondering about the popularity of tie-dye, just go to the Anthropologie website and try to find a dress that isn’t either sold out, or almost sold out! When I was looking for similar dresses to link, I couldn’t believe it! So glad I nabbed this one and it’s still available, but if you want it, you should get it ASAP!
Bright oranges and pinks are two of my favorite color combinations for summer and this dress checks all the boxes! It’s lined so not at all see through, but still could be worn over a swimsuit. It looks big when it’s not on your body, but is perfectly flowy and comfortable to wear. I always feel great wearing a maxi dress, even a tie-dye print seems luxurious!
I couldn’t resist pulling out the pink sunglasses and flat sandals were my shoe of choice for being by the pool, but espadrilles would certainly be great as well! My big bold statement earrings from Cult Gaia completed my look.
I always change up my blush and bronzer in the summer and use brighter colors with some sparkle because…why not?! And because my hair is curly, the humidity can really cause it to be frizzy and I haven’t found a better hair oil for taming my unruly hair than this one from Virtue.
I was able to find a few tie dresses and I’ve also linked the other items I talked about in this post in the boutique below! Happy Sunday!
