The Best Classic Style for January and Beyond
Happy New Fashion Year! There is so much exciting happening in the world of fashion right now and I’m working on a blog post to catch you up on what the latest trends are and what you’ll be seeing for spring, but for now…I’m focusing on a style everyone loves and can wear and that’s Classic Style.
All of the outfits featured in this post are made of pieces, mostly from Veronica Beard, that you’ll likely keep in your closet for years to come! In my opinion, Veronica Beard designs the ultimate classic pieces with a bit of a twist. You just can’t go wrong with loafers, great jeans, and blazers paired with classic blouses and sweaters.
I’m beginning to wonder how our crazy weather patterns will affect fashion…we had high temperatures in the 80’s over the weekend and today it snowed like crazy. What’s a girl to wear!!? I normally put my spring/summer clothes away for the season, but I have been definitely at a loss lately finding appropriate clothes. Actually, thank goodness, I’ve been home more than not…taking down Christmas and getting the house back in order so it hasn’t been that much of a problem, but I just wonder what’s coming next! I do really want to wear some of my new sweaters and coats for more than a week this season!
I’ve never been much of a loafer girl, but the chunky sole on these makes them much more appealing to me! The classic blazer is a wear forever piece!
More Veronica Beard…Flare jeans will never go out of style and I think clogs are here to stay for a while! The stripe blouse is great to wear now and will go right into spring!
I’m dying over this outfit! Winter white is perfect for dreary days and I’m loving the paisley blouse with the western style boot. Rag and Bone Boots are the most comfortable and last forever!
It took me a while, but I’ve finally warmed up to Golden Goose sneakers. You still won’t see me wearing them with a dress unless it’s a simple tee shirt dress, but they’re really comfortable and I do love them with jeans. I can also get on board with the dressier embroidered ruffle blouse combined with Golden Goose…it’s an interesting combination that works. NARS The Multiple is a work horse when it comes to makeup…use it for a highlighter, to brighten up your cheeks and on your brow bone! I even use it on my lips under a sheer lip gloss for a natural lip!
I’ve always loved stripes…they are an all time classic and work with so many different styles. This is the ultimate classic look with flare jeans and clogs. Perfect every day style…so simply chic.
