Spring Fashion and Monday Musings!
Badass women don’t threaten me, they inspire me. Their creativity, passion and hustle ignites mine. Life changes when you allow another woman’s fire to spark your own.” ~ Care Alwill
I didn’t really intend to write about this today, but something made me think about and I love the topic of being a badass! I wrote a whole blog post about this several years ago and it has been my most popular post to date, so clearly, I’m not the only one who’s interested!
We all have days when we don’t feel so much like a badass, but the truth is that we all have the opportunity to get up every morning and start the day knowing that we are valuable and have something important to offer the world. We are all writing our own story every day…one day at a time. You get to choose how your day will go and whether you put happy energy or bad energy into the world and, please don’t ever think it doesn’t matter!
So, in honor of Women’s History Month…my question to you is…
How will you make history?
I’ve said it before, and I’m saying it again…I believe what you wear matters because it’s how you’re presenting yourself to the world. This past year plus has been somewhat difficult because we haven’t been presenting ourselves to the world nearly as much, but it still matters that you get up, get dressed and look and feel your best! You don’t have to be dressed to the nines every day, but try to add some flair…just for yourself! While I probably wouldn’t wear these Gucci sandals to the grocery store, I would definitely wear them out to a casual dinner!
I love a black leather jacket almost any time of the year. It’s a great classic piece that you’ll wear forever and I think it’s perfect with sandals and wide leg jeans!
If I have an obsession with anything…it’s definitely shoes. I just can’t resist sometimes and these very fabulous mules are going to get a lot of wear this season! Here, I’ve paired them with distressed jeans, a white tee and Rag and Bone black blazer. I personally love the contrast of the jeans and fancy shoes!
One of my favorite designers is Ulla Johnson! I love the prints and feminine details. Even though I wear white jeans all year long, I do especially love them in the spring and summer!
I hope you all have a fabulous day! Thanks so much for reading…
I would love to know what you think of this post so please leave me a comment!
