My New Hair Extensions and A Favorite Floral Blouse
I haven’t talked at all about my hair extensions, but thought I would say a word or two about them!
About a year and a half ago, I changed salons and found someone new to do my hair. It was damaged, breaking off and I was having nightmares about having to get my hair cut short. When I changed salons, I found the most wonderful stylist…Bre Carter. Bre immediately told me to stop getting so much bleach on my hair and talked me into updating my look with balayage. I never looked back! I thought the roots would drive me insane, but it’s been fine and I’ve loved my hair so much! The thing I love most is…now that I’ve stopped getting bleach every 4 weeks (yikes) and have embraced having roots, my hair is the healthiest it’s been in years! But…it’s still not growing as quickly as I would like, so I decided to get hair extensions. Partly because I wanted my hair to look really great for my daughter’s wedding, but also, because I’ve always wanted really long hair.
I was a little apprehensive when the extensions were going in, but after she finished and my hair was styled, I fell in love with them. You may not believe it, but having extensions is so easy! I style it once when I wash it and then, only touch up for the next 6 to 7 days.
The extensions will stay in probably until mid June and then I’ll take them out until early September. I think they’ll be really hard to take care of at the beach! If you’ve thought about extensions, but haven’t done it yet, I would highly recommend! Just make sure that the person putting them in has experience and that you get quality extensions. After that…it’s smooth sailing and so much fun!
Do I even need to mention my love for Veronica Beard again? It’s as if the clothes were made with me in mind and there is very little on the website that I don’t want. I finally broke down and ordered a pair of Veronica Beard skinny jeans and they fit like a glove. I haven’t posted an outfit with them yet, but it’s coming next week.
Today’s focus is on this amazing floral blouse! This blouse will carry me into summer and then into fall! It’s somewhat sheer, but not too sheer…I love the neckline, the cut and the colors! I paired it with a pair of straight leg jeans from Mother and my sandals are…you guessed it, Veronica Beard! My sunglasses are Celine and several seasons old as is my bag from Staud. I’ve linked similar!
