Brand Crush - The Shirt by Rochelle Behrens
My first introduction to The Shirt by Rochelle Behrens was in a small local boutique that I shop in often. I had been looking for something gingham because it’s such a huge trend this season but I didn’t want it to look “sweet” as I think gingham can sometimes look.
I found the adorable blouse I’m wearing in these pictures and fell in love with the statement sleeves. The rest of the blouse is very tailored and I thought it would work well with many pieces I already own and it would be perfect for UNC football games later in the early fall. The price was so reasonable and so, of course, I snatched it up.
When I got home and started looking into the company, I realized they have so many cute things and I kept adding them to my cart. I did finally show some restraint and only ordered a basic white blouse. The thing about the blouse is that it looks basic, the the fit is amazing. These blouses are reinforced in the front where they button so they never gape! I have had so much trouble with this…it seems any blouse that is fitted gapes in the front.
About the Gingham Trend…
This spring, thankfully, the gingham trend moves beyond the picnic blanket and is showing up on everything from dresses to swimwear to gym cloths as well as accessories of all kinds. The newest gingham designs give a fresh perspective inspired by iconic themes, such as rainbow palettes, poppy pastels, and electric colors, and they exude pure joy. Another good thing about this trend is that it radiates youthful nostalgia and optimism and we could all use a bit of that right now!
