My Boho Spirit - Summer By the Sea

I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this time of the day at Bald Head Island…especially in late summer! The sun is just beginning to set and the water shimmers as the light hits the waves! It truly is magical to be here and experience nature so beautifully! The sound of the waves as they crash on the shore, the still warm breeze, the moon rising as the sun sets - it takes my breath every time!

At around 6:30 or 7 pm, the light is ideal for pictures and I never mind getting dressed and taking a golf cart ride to get some great shots! This is also such a perfect setting for my gorgeous boho clothing from Johnny Was! These timeless pieces are exquisitely made and the detail is beyond gorgeous!

The sheer mesh dress I’m wearing here has floral embroidery and comes with a long slip to wear underneath. A piece this gorgeous doesn’t need much in the way of accessories and on the beach, shoes are never necessary!

I styled this perfect for early fall sheer embroidered blouse with light wash denim and let the breeze flow through. I chose to wear a black bra underneath, but it comes with a dark grey cami when more coverage is wanted. These pieces from Johnny Was are special pieces that will stay in your closet for years to come. The blouse can be dressed up or down but my favorite way to wear it is with jeans.
