Coastal Clutch Bag & Notes From The Weekend
I love a quiet weekend at home when I have a chance to get a few things accomplished and relax! We spent some time at the pool with our grandsons, took Sarah and Bristol out to dinner, worked in the yard and binge watched Lupin (second season)…it was very suspensful and so good!! Our weekend was so nice!
Last night, I decided to put together a few fall outfits that I could go ahead and start wearing soon. There is nothing easier or more classic than jeans and a white blouse…with a few good accessories! I added a brown Gucci belt and Marc Fisher booties, but what really made this outfit was my cute bag from Coastal Clutch NY! Supporting small women owned businesses is something that’s important to me and I really love these cute bags. They’re all made by hand, using luxury fabrics and vintage brooches each with their own story! These bags make great one-of-a-kind gifts and add an interesting element to any outfit! Be sure to check out their Instagram to see more Coastal Clutch designs.
Having two dogs in our yard has taken a toll on the grass and flower beds and it has been driving me crazy! Yesterday, I went to the garden center and bought some ground cover plants and herbs to spruce up the flower beds. It’s so nice to have fresh herbs to add to recipes and to use on my charcuterie boards.
The grass is another matter and not such an easy fix…but…I came up with a plan. We’re going to use paver stones with mondo grass instead of having such a big spread of lawn. It should be fairly indestructible and still look pretty. We’re looking for the stones now and hopefully we can begin work next weekend! What do you think (see picture below)?
Love this cute quote!
Last Thursday (technically not the weekend), I did a Zoom charcuterie class as a fundraiser for a local charity. It was so much fun to work along with everyone and see the finished boards! We’ve all had to be a little more inventive because of Covid and I thought this was a great idea! I’ll be posting the video soon if you want to watch! Also…you can see one of my favorite creations here!
I thought this was a really interesting take on coffee table (un)decorating from Domino Magazine.
Definitely making this Pumpkin Pasta with Balsamic Sage Butter Sauce from Half Baked Harvest very soon!
