7 Days of Outfits + Notes From The Weekend
Wow the weekend went by so quickly! I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day and got some rest! I know the weather is so bad in many parts of the country! We have had freezing rain and cold temperatures, but the sun is supposed to peek through today!
One of the highlights of my weekend was being on Jeanne Robertson’s Facebook Live show…we had a charcuterie competition and she interviewed me! Jeanne is so much fun and I had the best time meeting new people and just doing something different! I think it’s so important to step out of our boxes and try new things! Be sure to check back tomorrow because I’ll be sharing so much more about the day and you can watch the whole show as well as see the charcuterie boards that everyone made! There was definitely a lot of creativity and a little cheating going on!
Baldy made spaghetti for me for Valentine’s Day and we had a pretty low key weekend. He’s not much of a cook, so he used this easy recipe and added a sautéed onion and a green and red pepper! I actually really enjoyed it and looking forward to leftovers for lunch!
The weather was just to nasty to go out! I’m actually looking forward to running errands and being out in the world today!
The picture above was taken in my living room obviously in front of the fire. We’ve added a new and really fabulous light fixture and I’m having a stool recovered and sprucing up just a bit. Also adding a few new things around the house. As soon as it’s all done, I’ll do a house tour, but if you’d like to see more, you can look at the Christmas tour here!
The outfit I’m wearing is very much my style…a variation of jeans, a blouse or sweater and booties. The blouse was rented from Armoire style. I have rented several things from them lately and it’s fun to always have something “new” to put on. It’s also much better for the environment than buying new things all of the time. You can check out their website here and get 60% off your first order with code Suzannes1! Armoire has so many brands and something for everyone!
I think we’re all ready for spring and the outfit above features a great long navy cardigan from Loft (did you know that Navy is the new Black?)! Wearing a cardigan is a great way to begin to incorporate a few spring pieces into your wardrobe! I’m also wearing jeans from Loft and loving the long wide leg style, especially with high heel booties because it makes me feel taller! My boots are Tory Burch from many years ago, but I’m linking a really similar pair below!
Blazers are great for all seasons, especially spring, and I’ve worn this plaid one often this year! Here, I’ve paired it with grey jeans which have become my go-to lately! Change feels good right now…
I’ve just ordered this white blazer and I’m anticipating warmer weather and hopefully some al fresco dining very soon!
You can shop this look below…
This yellow jacket from Anine Bing may be my favorite purchase ever! Just wearing it makes me feel good because of the sunny color. It has a slightly boxy fit that works well over thicker sweaters and also comes in an off-white tweed. You can read more about Anine Bing and see another way that I’ve styled this jacket in this post. I’m pretty sure that this jacket will always be in my closet!
I love the sweater that I’m wearing in this picture, but can you tell how cold I was?
In my opinion, a leather jacket is a wardrobe essential. This jacket from Cabi was a new purchase this season, and it’s been a great layering piece.
One of the highlights of every new season is my Cabi Collection Party! This year, it will be on March 6 and you can join in person or virtually! It’s always so much fun and the clothes are fabulous!
One thing that I’ve changed my mind about during quarantine is sneakers. I very rarely wore them before unless I was working out or on a dog walk. I’ve decided that they’re very practical, completely comfortable and there are so many cute options these days! I purchased these high top ones not long ago and love love the gold laces! Plus…they look great with my grey jeans!
There is nothing like wearing Spanx from head to toe! This is the most comfortable outfit that I own and I think the jacket gives it so much polish and also goes well with jeans too!
I always love to share things that I’ve found from around the web and here is a short list that you may be interested in…
When the weather starts to warm up just a bit in the spring, it’s radish season! I love to serve radishes the way the French do…with salt and butter, but this recipe for Roasted Radish Chips sounds amazing and so healthy!
