Meet our new puppy Archie! He is fitting in like he always lived here! From the moment he arrived, Amos loved him…tail wagging contstantly! I had so many people warn me that Amos might be jealous, but he’s used to other dogs being here because my daughter’s dog stays with us often and honestly, he’s so social that I knew he would love to have a little puppy brother!

Archie is a Golden Doodle just like Amos, only he’s a mini…he’ll only weigh around 25 pounds fully grown but right now, he weighs only 7 pounds! He has had some training, but we’re still working on potty training and he’s had a few accidents but that’s to be expected!

Amos usually sleeps with us for part of the night…he starts off in the bed and then gets down and does who knows what and then he comes back to bed. He also has a bed on the floor in our room so sometimes he sleeps there. I decided to just carry on as usual and plopped Archie right in the bed with me on the first night (Baldy is out of town). He did great…he snuggled right up and woke me up at one point licking my nose! It was the sweetest thing. I’ve been getting up once in the night and letting him out and Amos is teaching him as well. I think he’ll be fully trained before too much longer.

Archie and Amos tear around the house chasing each other and it makes me so happy that Amos has someone to play with! I always felt so guilty leaving Amos alone even for an hour or so because he looked at me like he was so sad every time I left the house. I do crate Archie when I leave for now, buy Amos seems less sad. They’re like my children! I never understood how people love their dogs until we got Amos!

I was so excited to take these pictures with Amos & Archie yesterday so I might as well share my outfit details! The jacket is an older favorite from Anine Bing, the turtleneck is from Boston Proper (they make the best ones), the cream denim is from Citizens of Humanity (also older), and my shoes are from The Office of Angela Scott. I recently posted a pair of metallic green loafers also from The Office of Angela Scott! I love this brand so much…the shoes are great quality, comfortable, definitely not boring and they have so many colors and styles to choose from!

I’ve linked lots of items in the boutique below that would work with these shoes since I shopped my closet for this look! Keep scrolling because I found some amazing things!

It’s been a little chaotic around here because I have movers getting stuff out because the floors are being refinished this week. Also, I have painters and plumbers…it’s progress so I’m not complaining but OMG it’s a lot!!!

I’ll post soon about how we’re training Archie and everything we’ve found helpful for our new puppy! Amos is five now and I had totally forgotten just how much energy a puppy has!
