Outfit of the Day - Saturday Style

I want to be like a sunflower so that even on the darkest days, I will stand tall and find the sunlight. ~ Unknown

After being at the beach for three days by myself, I've realized a few things.  One of those is that I don't like being alone for three days!  I've done a lot of thinking, reading, walking and yoga, and it all sounds great, but for me, I like to have someone to eat with and talk to at the end of the day.  I guess the journey is all about self discovery.  Looking back, I'm sure I'll see that this week was healing because it gave me time to reflect on my life, how I feel about my dad's passing and what to do going forward.  I've realized that in a lot of ways, I'm angry at the circumstances of my life and I'm trying to deal with that.  It doesn't work just to stuff it away because it always comes back out when I'm least expecting it.  All of that however, is for another post, because it's Saturday and I'm going for a walk (again) and I'm going to try to truly enjoy my last day here at Bald Head Island.  The sky is blue and it's a beautiful day!

Jeans and a tee...my favorite way to dress and my uniform.  Usually, I'll admit, I like to wear a higher heel, but sometimes flats are just the way to go.  I got these last year from Ann Taylor and they are no longer available, but there are so many cute flat sandals right now, so I linked several pairs that are similar.
