Nashville Wrap Up

Why is it that the last day of a trip, the day you have to leave, is always the prettiest day?  That's how yesterday was for us!  We got up to beautiful blue skies and warm temperatures with no mention of rain in the forecast.  We dressed appropriately in our pink and headed out for Biscuit Love.

This beautiful florist, Oshi,  was near the hotel and made a perfect place for pictures.

Last time Sarah and I were in Nashville, we tried to go to Biscuit Love, but the line to get in was wrapped around the corner and we just didn't have time.  Luckily, we had better luck this time and were able to get in pretty quickly.  We really enjoyed our breakfast/brunch.  It's a very casual place with a great outdoor eating area in the back and the food is so yummy!

One of the first things you see when you walk into Biscuit Love is a huge Nashville sign that's all lit up.  It's such a fun and lively atmosphere!  I had Blacklock  Hash, without the egg and please don't judge me...I don't love eggs!  Sarah had the Hummingbird Reserve Biscuit, which is a biscuit with pineapple, pecans, banana jam and cream cheese frosting. I also had one of the best Bloody Mary's I've ever had.  Biscuit Love makes their own pickles and uses the pickle juice in the Bloody Mary's.  I knew there was an unusual, but delicious taste, but had to ask because I just couldn't figure it out.

Obviously, Biscuit Love isn't a place to go if you're dieting, but it's well worth the splurge!

Our next stop after brunch was a darling boutique called Parish.  Parish is a very well edited boutique with a range of stylish pieces to choose from.  I am obsessed with the embellished Free People army jacket that I'm wearing in the picture.  It's kind of Sargent Pepper meets Michael Jackson!

Finally, we decided to wander into the Thompson Hotel.  The Thompson is a luxury boutique hotel in the Gulch with a rooftop bar and James Beard award winning chef, John Besh, in the restaurant!  I might need to stay there next time!.  I asked if I could take a few pictures and was given permission, but then someone told me that I had to stop.  I'm not sure why pictures wouldn't be allowed, but I did snap these two.  As you can see, the interior is fabulous.

I have a long list of things to do on my next trip to Nashville!  There is so much to see and do!

It's nice to be back home today!  As I mentioned in my post yesterday, I used my time in Nashville to rest and replenish my soul!  My blog is all about daily indulgences, and I feel that taking time every day to rest and replenish is a necessary daily indulgence and one that we all to often forget about.  My lesson from this trip is to take time every day to take of myself so that I can better take care of those that I love!

Have a great day everyone and don't forget to take time for your Daily Indulgence.  Follow me on Instagram @crazyblondelifeblog.
