Christmas In New York City
I spent the day walking around New York yesterday! The weather was crisp and not too cold and I really enjoyed looking at the beautiful Christmas decorations and people watching. I stopped and ate tuna tartare at a great little French restaurant just off Madison Avenue and it was heaven. Last night, Garrick and I went to the holiday market at Bryant Park and shopped around a little and then went to Elio's for dinner. I had venison for the very first time...mostly because I was trying not to eat a plate full of pasta, and I loved it. Elio's is such a fun, bustling place and every now and then you see a celebrity (last time we saw Tom Selleck), but unfortunately not last night. Anyway, our food was absolutely delicious and it was a perfect evening. We're leaving today and I always want to stay just one more day to do all of the things that I didn't have time to do! I guess I'll just have to come back soon!
While we were here, I did a photo shoot with Jeanne Rene Barousse. She is an amazing photographer and we had so much fun. The pictures of me are just a sample of some that we took, but the full blog post is coming! The rest of the pictures are some that I took while walking around. My skirt, believe it or not came from Forever 21 and was just $38.00! I wore it over leather leggings (these are on sale for $29.00) with my Stuart Weitzman platform boots, a black turtleneck and faux fur vest. I'll be wearing this to a Christmas party for sure!
I loved seeing the windows at Saks! It's a miracle that we got this picture because there were so many people! This coat by Adriene Landau is definitely a head turner and I wore it with a turtleneck, jeans and Michael Kors sandals that I bought while in NYC!
I loved walking around the New York City Public Library! It's a huge, beautiful building! I didn't have a chance to go inside, but it's on the list for the next trip! The lions are named Patience and Fortitude...I'm not sure which one this was!
My 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway continues today with day 3. I'm giving away a copy of Half Baked Harvest Cookbook by Tiegan Gerard. I've been a fan of the Half Baked Harvest Blog for a long time and I know this cookbook will be fabulous! This cookbook would make a great gift for anyone on your list! To enter, leave your email in the pop-up on my blog, follow me on Instagram and tag 2 friends. The winner of the Nest candle yesterday was Michelle Rosborough! Congrats Michelle!
Getting ready to go and have on last lunch (if I can get my jeans on) in New York and then headed home! Have a great weekend!
