Yesterday was a rare day for me…I hardly looked at my computer and it was so nice! Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do, but everyone needs a break now and then! Today, I’m feeling inspired to share a few things that I’m loving and using and watching and I hope you enjoy.

Last night, Baldy and I watched the craziest movie on Amazon Prime – Knives Out. It was a murder mystery and even though we got wrapped up in it and finished watching, I’m not sure I would recommend it. After that, i slept like a baby, until…poor little Amos fell off the bed! I’m not sure what happened, but I felt so bad. At least our bed isn’t too high and he seems fine this morning.

The weather here has been absolutely amazing for the past couple of days. I’m sitting outside on our front porch (with my computer) ,the sun is out, Baldy is trimming the boxwoods, Amos is sitting at my feel, the humidity low, I’m drinking a cup of coffee and life is good, The last few days, I’ve been taking it easy on myself and sleeping in a little. Usually I’m up between 5:30 and 6, but this morning, I didn’t get out of the bed until 7:45! It was so nice and I feel rested! I don’t think you can underestimate the value of a good nights sleep!

I noticed this morning that my skin was sparkling and realized that it was my Soap & Glory body cream! When we were in Nashville, we popped into Target to get a few things we forgot and I got somebody cream that I’m loving! I like to mix it up a little with my products so I’ll add this affordable body lotion to the rotation. You can also purchase this line of skincare products at Ulta!

I think I may start to binge watch American Aristocrat on the Smithsonian Channel. An American Aristocrat’s Guide to Great Estates, Smithsonian Channel. Julie Montagu takes viewers through estates and castles all across the British landscape. It’s an all access look at grand residences and the families who keep their histories alive. Watch the trailer below!

I felt the same way about Knives Out. What in the world happened? It was so long and left me confused. Poor Amos, must have been a shock to his sweet little puppyness … glad he’s fine and he probably won’t let that happen again! Didn’t know about 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚 to a Great Estates, but on it now. Happy Sunday! xo

      Hi Juliet
Yes! Knives out was a little strange and it was long!
I hope Amos doesn’t fall out of the bed again…it traumatized all of us! Also, you will LOVE the American Aristocrat series. We watched the first one last night and it was really good!

    Hi Suzanne,
Glad you got some rest and feel relaxed. I’m at the opposite end unfortunately. Things have been emotional here. The events of the past few weeks have left me reeling and trying to understand better, and be better.
On another note, I tried the salmon recipe from your last post. Substituted broccoli and snow peas for the Brussels sprouts because that’s what I had. Super delicious and so easy and quick. Added quinoa and a caprese salad -done! Dinner in 30 minutes. Thanks for sharing I’m going to try a few more of those easy recipes in the next day or so!
    Enjoy today,
    XO Heidi

      Hi Heidi

Since I wrote this post, I’ve gotten a little more emotional. It’s been raining here a lot and that’s not helping. I think when the sun comes out it will be better!
I’m so glad you tried the salmon recipe…salmon is one of my favorite foods! Baldy doesn’t like Brussels sprouts so I’ll substitute broccoli as well when I make it! Dinner in 30 is so nice! I really appreciate your support…thank you for reading!

    Hello Suzanne,

There are so many wonderful ideas here. I think I may start watching The American Aristocrat’s Guide to Great Estates and that Pesto Chicken Caesar Salad sounds delicious. Thank you for sharing.
