I haven’t done a fashion roundup in quite some time, but since it is now officially summer, I thought I would share a few of my favorite looks from spring, most of which will go right into summer, or at least some of the elements of each outfit! And…after all, having versatile pieces in our wardrobes is what it’s all about!
It’s finally really quiet around here, with the exception of three crazy dogs. Actually, as we speak, there are 4 dogs in our backyard. This morning, we looked out the window because Amos and Dash were barking their heads off and there, right outside the gate, was a little dog, without a leash or an owner. He just stood there like he wanted to come in, so Baldy let him in the gate and in an instant he was fast friends with our dogs…including John Wayne, who had decided he wanted to come out and join the fun.
Baldy put fliers out on the telephone poles around the neighborhood and posted on Facebook, but so far, we have no idea where this pup belongs. If you’re local and have any idea, please let me know because we do not need or want 4 dogs!
Now…for the question…
Part of the reason I’m not posting on this blog more often is because social media is such a beast and I feel that I’m always coming up with something for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and now, Tiktok. It’s so much work and I’m wondering…how many of you would rather see a blog post than a post on social media? My blog is my first love and I would really much rather write a blog post 4 or 5 times a week and let my social media go just a bit. Also, I’ve started my coaching business and it is keeping me busy in addition to the Project 50 Day Challenge that I’m doing. I would really appreciate if you could leave a comment below and let me know what you would rather see from me? Now…on to the outfits!
My complete obsession with Ulla Johnson continues to grow with every season! I cannot get enough of all of it, but unfortunately, my budget says I have plenty! This pink top is my latest purchase and it’s going to be on heavy rotation all summer long. It looks great with white jeans, but also looks amazing with brown wide leg pants and shorts. I plan on styling it several different ways!
There are so many iterations of this classic look and it will never go out of style. The Gucci sandals (similar and less expensive here) and orange Chloe bag give white jeans and a striped sweater a trendy update.
I decided to mix up a pair of distressed jeans with patent leather pumps, a striped blouse and white bag. The only new piece in this look are the jeans.
This outfit is completely made up of closet basics with the exception of the bag and jewelry. Every closet should have nude sandals, white jeans, a black tank and a denim jacket. The pearl bracelet and necklace are by French Kande!

This picture is one I stole from a video I was making in my bedroom. I absolutely love this look and had to share it.
Last summer, I looked everywhere for a bucket hat but had no luck finding one that fit my head. This year, I found this one by Eric Javits and I’m loving it! It’s perfect for the beach and adds an element of interest to a summer outfit! My pants are Citizens of Humanity from last year (I’ve linked similar) and my tank is by Michael stars and comes in several different colors. The cropped style of this tank is perfect with high waisted pants. I’ve added my Sam Edelman shoes to complete the look!
The star of this outfit is my cute summer bag from Modus Rio!
This is the cutest romper from Cabana Life…it’s great worn as is or over a swimsuit!
Another classic look featuring my favorite skinny jeans by Veronica Beard!
This look is actually from last fall, but I posted it on my Instagram and had so many requests that I reposted it here with the identical jeans from Moussy Vintage!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! Please take a minute and leave a comment about your preference…blog or Instagram and other social media! It would mean the world to me! Also…I’m including a boutique below with the items from this post…just in case!

Love all these styles! IG is fun for quick visual bites, but I honestly prefer blog posts and yours are so enjoyable whether fashion, beauty or diving deeper into life topics.
Hi Marysue
You are very kind and it makes me so happy that you enjoy Crazy Blonde Life! I’m really exciting about posting more going forward! Have a great weekend!
Blog! Definitely blog. That is how I follow you. I also love your YouTube videos. I do the “Summer Arm Exercise” one (produced February years ago by you) all the time! You have some other exercise videos that I enjoy – the outside one where the cat is wandering in and out – puts a smile on my face! Blog & YouTube get my votes.
Hi Barbara!
I am so impressed that you still do that video! I’m going to get back to basics with blogging and YouTube! Thank you for commenting!
My vote would be for your blog posts! I still go back to many of your previous blog posts, as well as your YouTube videos when I’m looking for inspiration when it comes to food and fashion.
Hi Sherilyn
Thank you so much! I am going to write more posts and definitely get back to YouTube! Social Media is hard to keep up with and I much prefer to write a blog post!
Blog!! I love this post…OMGoodness the shoes!
Hi Miriam
Thank you so much for your comment! I’m a shoe girl too…more than anything else!
Great looks! I wish I had your defined arms! As far as the blog versus social media goes I favor a blog. I rarely read my Instagram and never read to tic tok.
Hi Harriet
You are very kind! I work hard at the gym, but much of it is genetics.
I have been overwhelmed by the comments saying people prefer my blog, so more frequent posts are coming up! Thank you!
I love your blog posts and enjoy reading them! As far as social media goes, IG is a quick scroll for me, I don’t use Tik Tok.
Hi Jeana
Thank you so much for supporting me by reading Crazy Blonde Life! I’ll definitely be writing more blog posts!
Blog! I don’t have/want social media, so everything I follow is via your website. Thanks for everything!
Hi Andrea
Thank you for letting me know! Social media can be draining! I will be posting more on the blog going forward!
Definitely blog! Social media is a big NO for me!
Hi Janice
Thank you for letting me know…more frequent posts coming!
Love your blog posts and all of your topics! Although I love your style and the clothes you feature, I find they are out of my price range (Unless your target audience is wealthier women). I believe you don’t have to break the bank to be fashionable and stylish.
Hi Cindy!
Thank you so much for your comment! I’m definitely going to be writing more blog posts going forward and when I do a fashion post, I will be sure to add more options at different price points!
Most definitely blog! I only glance at the rest but read the blog post every day! Thanks for being honest about your limitations and asking for preferences!
Hi Joan
I’ve had such an overwhelming response to my question and the answer is very clear! I will be writing more blog posts! It’ actually my preference! Thank you so much for reading every day! It means the world to me!
Hi Suzanne,
Keep blogging! I don’t usually have time to check my instagram very often, and then just scroll through pretty quickly. I do however, read posts by my favorite bloggers! I might not get to them right away, but I do read them.
I know I am not alone when I say your posts are always thoughtfully written and inspiring.
Xo Heidi
