A Few Summer Essentials…

01

Summer Neutrals with a few fun pieces thrown in the mix will take you the summer in style! I love my denim and even though I’ve been wearing more dresses lately, my daily summer uniform involves some form of denim…either shorts or long jeans. There are a few exceptions – I do wear my caftans at the beach and try to dress up more when we travel, but summer essentials for me include some denim.

The outfits I’m sharing today are, with the exception of the cute dress, easy to mix and match and can be combined in endless ways. The pieces include white jeans, a lightweight off-white blazer, a light wash and a medium wash jean, a flattering bodysuit, a white cotton top, a white long sleeve blouse, and a black sleeveless tank. I’ve accessorized with great and comfortable silver platform heels (these can be worn year round), white espadrilles, brown Gucci flat sandals and black mules. The bags pictured have been in my closet for several seasons with the exception of the white raffia bag. I hope these outfits inspire you to create a few fun looks this season!

Oliphant is one of my favorite brands because of the fun fabrics and playful designs. This cute blue and white gingham dress is perfect for a summer day and can be dressed up with heels like my comfortable silver ones, and also looks amazing with flats (like these from Tory Burch). It’s also such a good length and so flattering! The bag I’m wearing is old but I found this one and it’s so cute and perfect for summer!

I’ve never really worn bodysuits before, but I’ll definitely be wearing them going forward! This bodysuit was gifted to me by Pumiey and I absolutely love it! It gives my outfit such a clean look and is really comfortable which was surprising to me! I paired it with straight leg medium wash jeans, a great off-white blazer from Loft (mine is from last season so I linked similar) and white espadrilles from Schutz. I love this neutral look!

My white monochromatic look above is fresh and summery…white denim paired with a cute cotton blouse and the silver platforms. I added a bag from my closet for some bling and color (similar here)! Again, this look would be great with flat sandals like these from Tory Burch, for a more casual look!

My uniform…a Michael Stars tank (this tank comes in so many colors) paired with light wash, mid-rise jeans and black wedge espadrilles (similar and less expensive here)! The white Chloe bag (similar and less expensive here) gives this outfit a summer feel and I’m loving the Amazon sunnies!

The silver shoes again, paired with a Veronica Beard white dress (similar here and here) from last season and a sparkly Amazon bag. I’ve gotten so much wear out of this dress and I’m considering buying another one this year!

Classic jeans, a white blouse (similar) and classic brown flat sandals – this classic look will take you absolutely anywhere!

I’m including a boutique below with everything in this post and a few other fun finds!

I’m writing this post from Bald Head Island…the forecast is calling for rain, but it’s really sunny right now so I’m hoping that will last! I’m so excited to be here and looking forward to some rest and then…the WHOLE family will be here for the 4th! It will be the first time we’ve all been together at the beach in several years and I can’t wait! It should be lively with 11 people and two dogs, but we have some fun activities planned and I’m sure many great memories will be made!

Suzanne you are such an inspiration. I come to you blog often to get ideas for outfits. I love how you incorporate basics that most of us have and then elevate them! I am really wanting a pair of the black espadrilles. They are a basic that will go year after year.

I also come to your blog for recipes too!

    Peace!
