This fabulous denim dress is from a new-to-me brand called Aligne and it’s perfect for early fall! Aligne is a women-led British brand based in East London, and after spending some time on their website, I’m wondering how I hadn’t discovered them sooner because they have so many great pieces! The tailoring is beautiful as you can see and the prices are very reasonable.

I’m wearing the Monroe Denim Maxi Dress…it’s made from organic cotton with just a bit of stretch, and the fit is so flattering. I love the high funnel neck, the cap sleeves and the way the fitted bodice falls into a dramatic full skirt. The contrast stitching shows off every seam, while the dropped waist gives it a shape that feels a little unexpected. It’s denim, but it certainly doesn’t feel like an everyday denim dress.

I almost never wear my hair up, but the high neck of this dress seemed to call for it, so I ordered a hair clip specifically for the dress and I like it so much!

I finished the look with a suede bag from Isabel Marant and Golden Goose cowboy boots that I got three years ago. Cowboy boots never go out of style and these are so comfortable. This casual outfit gives a nod to the western trend and could be worn pretty much anywhere. Different shoes or boots could change the look entirely.

I’m including everything from this post as well as a few other favorites from Aligne in the boutique below…I especially love the purple sweater and the grey wool jacket! These are great versatile, everyday pieces that you’ll wear all season long and keep in your wardrobe for years!

This is such a fun dress with lots of personality! I’m so glad this brand is now on my radar, and I have another cool weather piece to show you soon.

I’m still in Spain and finally over the jet lag which is crazy because I’m leaving early on Thursday morning and will be jet lagged again when I get home again, but I guess that’s what you can expect from a short trip to Europe! The shopping is beyond good here and I’m planning to head out soon to check out the shops and then we have a special dinner tonight.
