Lately, here on Bald Head Island…

The days are lazy here and not to terribly exciting, but filled with beautiful warm sunshine, salty air and time to contemplate.

I just finished reading The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah and it was truly one of the best books I’ve ever read! I highly recommend it!

This morning, I started the Miraculous Relationships 21 Day Meditation with Oprah and Deepak. I always love their meditations and it’s especially nice to meditate outside at the beach with the birds and sounds of nature.

Long walks, either on the beach or just around the island are a daily thing and something that I always look forward to. Walking on this beautiful island helps to clear my head…I come up with ideas and work out all kinds of things while I’m looking at the infinite ocean and the blue sky above. I’m always so grateful for the beauty here.

Today, we’re all going out for an afternoon on a boat! We’ll pack a picnic, go to a sandbar and hunt for sand dollars, maybe do some tubing and enjoy being out on the water! I bought this blouse to wear over my swimsuit because the breeze can get very chilly. I’ll also wear it with white jeans now and into the fall!

We took these pictures at the beach yesterday morning as a huge tanker ship went by! I’m always amazed that something that big can float.
