I may be the world’s worst packer! I really thought I had it nailed for this trip to Boston, but the cold was more than I expected. What I’ve learned is that it’s all about the coat because until you go inside, no one sees what you have on under anyway. I basically wore black turtlenecks, jeans and boots everyday. I’m not sure if anyone else agrees with me, but it seems that we wear more color in the South and possibly that’s because it’s just warmer. I call this outfit my “not looking like a tourist from the South” outfit. The coat is from Zara (similar here), my jeans are my favorite from Frame Denim, I have on a black turtleneck sweater from Velvet, a Tory Burch crossbody bag, and my boots are waterproof from Sam Edelman.

Great post! And I absolutely agree that it’s all about the coat! Living in freezing Montreal, these days anything you wear that’s fashionable is never really seen…except the coat you wear (and boots!).

I’m just not used to wearing coats so much because it’s not that cold in North Carolina. I have so many though for some reason…could just be a shopping problem haha! I’ve never been to Montreal but would absolutely love to visit some day! Thanks so much for commenting!
