Your Wildest Dreams

01

“It’s ok if you fall down and lose your spark. Just make sure that when you get back up, you rise as the whole damn fire.”

I put that quote on Instagram not long ago and got a lot of responses, but one really stayed with me and it said this: “Your words about the spark going out encapsulates exactly how I feel. Not sure the fire will ignite again.”

I read that response and it made me feel very sad. I know we’ve all felt this way from time to time, and midlife is a time of especially significant change that can leave us paralyzed and unsure what the next step is, but in spite of that I know…

WE CAN GET OUR SPARK BACK

ALL IT TAKES IS A SHIFT IN PERSPECTIVE

A SIMPLE CHOICE…

CHAOSE AND CONFUSION

OR

MOTIVATION

I BELIEVE THAT I AM A CHILD OF GOD AND I BELIEVE THAT YOUR ARE TOO!

I BELIEVE IT IS MY BIRTHRIGHT TO CHOOSE THE LIFE I WANT TO LIVE AND I BELIEVE IT IS YOUR BIRTHRIGHT AS WELL.

PLEASE DON’T EVER THINK THAT YOU HAVE TO LIVE A LIFE THAT’S LESS THAN WHAT YOU WANT

I ENCOURAGE YOU TO START RIGHT NOW…RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE

START TO CHOOSE DIFFERENT THOUGHTS

THE ONLY THING THAT IS EVER REQUIRED OF YOU IS A WILLINGNESS TO SEE THINGS DIFFERENTLY

EVERY TIME A FEARFUL THOUGHT COMES UP

CHANGE IT TO SOMETHING DIFFERENT…

SIMPLY CHOOSE TO THINK – “EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS WORKING OUT FOR ME”

TAKE ONE SMALL (TINY IS FINE) STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION…EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

YOU WILL SEE YOUR LIFE START TO CHANGE

YOU WILL FEEL BETTER

GO HOWEVER SLOWLY YOU NEED TO GO, BUT GO IN THE DIRECTION OF YOUR DREAMS

ONE TINY STEP AT A TIME

BE APPRECIATIVE OF THE THINGS THAT ARE WORKING

FIND JOY IN SMALL DETAILS

DO SOMETHING KIND FOR SOMEONE ELSE

LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND FIND ONE THING THAT YOU LOVE ABOUT YOURSELF

CHOOSE TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

PLEASE…START TODAY AND YOU WILL SEE YOUR LIFE CHANGE

BECAUSE…

IF NOT NOW, WHEN?

When I started Crazy Blonde Life four years ago, my life was in a state of turmoil. My last baby (the youngest of 3 daughters) was leaving for college and my marriage was in serious trouble. Everything I knew to be true about my life was changing and I didn’t know what to do. One day, I decided that I had something to say. I wasn’t sure what it was, but I chose to start a blog and called it Crazy Blonde Life. I truly felt like a Crazy Blonde at that time. I also signed up for yoga teacher training and dove into reading A Course in Miracles. Things got worse instead of better, and there were days when I didn’t think I could make it because the pain was so bad. Instead of giving up, I continued to learn about blogging, I finished my yoga teacher training and I just kept on moving forward…one tiny tiny step at a time. There are still days that feel hopeless and I feel scared, but I know it’s temporary. I have big dreams and I want a big life! Every day (really every moment) is a new day and a chance to start over. I know that my wildest dreams have already been lined up for me and all I have to do is line up with them. Find the joy in whatever way you can and I promise that things will work out…maybe in a way that is far better than anything you ever expected!

    Hi Suzanne,
Your words always find me right when I need them! I appreciate your honesty, and your willingness to share your experiences, knowing that other women have gone through and come out the other side of some of the same things I’m dealing with is very helpful.
I know from my own experience that enormous change can occur when we change our own perspective and attitude. I changed my actions, too, from angry and defiant to caring and loving. It isn’t always easy (never, actually) at the beginning, but starts to become second nature. And I’m happy that I feel like myself more often now. Because I’m a loving and nurturing person – flinging around all that anger and disappointment was just dragging me down and making me feel worse. Some days I still feel like a grouchy, grumpy mess. But I try to rise above it, while acknowledging my feelings. I don’t have to act that way, and it doesn’t really make any positive difference, however acting in kindness does change things tremendously, and in the right direction! And letting myself believe in my own unique talents and strengths has pushed me into a place of new and exciting opportunities!
    XO Heidi
PS Hope all is well and DRY and safe with you! I’m checking the weather many times a day!

      Hi Heidi

I don’t know what you’ve been going through but it sounds like a very hard thing and I’m sorry that you’ve had to deal with a painful situation. I too have been angry and still am sometimes. It seems to come out of the blue and I never really expect it. Certain things will trigger something in my mind and I’ll find myself dealing with it in a really bad way. You are certainly right that caring and loving feels better and sometimes that’s easier than other times. I’m finding, as it sounds like you have, that concentrating on myself and what I need to do, in other words, shifting the focus, makes a huge difference. We can’t go back and change the past, so we might as well concentrate on making right now the best it can be. Your comments are always so thoughtful and on point. Thank you!
