Wild Blueberry Smoothie

01

This Wild Blueberry Smoothie is so delicious that you’ll want to make it for breakfast everyday!  You’ll need frozen wild blueberries, bananas (remember to freeze the bananas the night before), almond milk, Greek yogurt and honey.

Wild blueberries are healthier than regular blueberries!  They have only 80 calories in a cup, are loaded with antioxidants, are low in fat, high in fiber and are an excellent source of manganese, which is important for bone development.  You can find them in the freezer section in most grocery stores.

Recipe

You can keep this smoothie in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.  It is delicious!  Do yourself a favor and make one today!

We have wild blackberries and also wild raspberries, which the locals refer to as ‘wineberries’. They are delicious and don’t require a smoothie…. we eat them directly off the bushes. The only problem is avoiding the dangerous and painful thorns on the bushes. LOL

Sounds amazing! I’ll have to try it with the Greek yogurt—usually just do protein powder, almond milk and blueberries.
