“Being a mother is the most important job in the world, being a grandmother is the most fun.”

The next best thing to being a mother is being a grandmother and I’m so blessed to have a very handsome grandson in my life!  Hudson came along almost 3 years ago and I fell in love with him immediately…and now he’s going to have a little brother!  I am beyond excited to be a grandmother again!  Now, I just have to figure out how to either get them to move home, or get a condo in Atlanta because I don’t want to miss them growing up!

When Lauren told me she was pregnant, I was so excited and of course, immediately started to think about what she would need when the new baby came.  One of the most important things to have is a good diaper bag and the one she is using has taken quite a beating with Hudson.  I have loved everything Vera Bradley this season, so I knew a diaper bag from them would be a perfect gift!  When I told the folks at Vera Bradley, they were nice enough to send over a diaper bag and a great cross body bag as well!  I’m carrying the cross body in the pictures, but it will be a lifesaver for Lauren with two little ones running around!  She’s going to need both hands for sure!

Sweet little Hudson has no idea that his life is getting ready to change in a big way!  I’m sure it will be an adjustment, but he’s going to be the best big brother!

The older I get, the more I realize that life is about building strong and meaningful relationships with family and friends.  I treasure time with my daughters and Hudson and can only imagine how much fun I’m going to have with these sweet grandsons as they get older!  I have dreams of making beautiful memories with and for them!  Being a grandmother is the best because I can spoil them in a way that I couldn’t spoil my own.  I also have learned that some of the things that I thought were so important when my girls were growing up aren’t really that important.  If I had it to do over again, I would totally let my girls pick out their own clothes more often, eat dessert first and make bigger messes!  Oh well, I have a second chance with my grandchildren!  Live and learn!

Lauren is really going to enjoy the Vera Bradley diaper bag because it’s roomy enough to hold everything she needs and the changing pad is on the side so she won’t have to dig for it.  It has pockets to hold bottles and other essentials.  The Mallory cross body is the perfect color for just about everything and will allow her hands to be free.  That’s important right now because it seems like Hudson has at least three hands!  Vera Bradley also sent a great flexible phone case and this adorable straw fish bag charm!  They just have the cutest things right now!

Lauren and I had a somewhat relaxing lunch (as relaxing as can be expected with a two year old) and then did a little shopping for the new baby.  Hudson didn’t eat his sweet potato fries, so you know who ended up eating them…me!  They were pretty delicious!

Lauren’s due date is October 29 so we are going to have a very busy fall and the holidays will be extra special this year!  I look forward to sharing all of it on Crazy Blonde Life!
